Following the positive response from that other thread, I hereby announce the start of the
FIRST UNOFFICIAL AC RECOLLECTION LEAGUE!
We will make this as simple, fair, and accessible as possible operationally for everyone, so please pay attention to the following league flow. Do NOT cry if anyone bans your butt for not reading these rules.
Status of League:
UPDATE:
The league is now complete, please will participants fill in their win/losses record in this spreadsheet:
docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkF3Il9mErH7dHcycVExVVVvR3ZRMEFJOVdiRUYtZGc
Please stick to your own row to ensure that we have some accurate stats. The source info is in all our own league threads.
Thanks guys
Summary:
1) Players register. Put your name down here.
2) We agree to a set of league rules. (See the other thread)
3) Before league starts, player private message their decklist to admin (me). Deadline: BEFORE Saturday aug 11.
4) League starts on Saturday aug 11. All decklists are made public on a thread.
5) Everyone makes their own league thread in the league forum. You own the first post and can edit it. The first post will contain your various match results against other people. Format to be decided. Also include your decklist.
6) League players may play a game/match against anyone else at any time. 5 games max are counted between each pair of players.
7) After a match, you go to your own thread and update your results against whoever.
8) If there are discrepancies between two players/two sets of results, and the two players can't come to an agreement, admin staff (not just Tuism) discusses it and see whether to a) disqualify both players; b) have a re-match; or c) deduct points from both players.
9) At the end of the league period (end of Sunday aug 26), results are tallied, and the players with the highest score get the honors.
10) Propose a new ruleset/theme/time period for the next league. Also (most importantly) we can play new decks in the new league.
Detailed rules. Read them.
1) Players register. Put down your name in this thread to register.
2) Agree to rules - the other thread here is currently discussing the rules. Please refrain from jumping in and muddying the waters if you're not going to be part of the league.
3) Players must PM their decklist to the league admin before the league kicks off (me in this case, we will NEED other admins for future. Volunteers welcome, please).
These decklists will be kept private and secret until the league starts. Players who hasn't submitted their decklist will not be eligible to participate. Please be as certain as you can when submitting, you may change your mind about your deck ONCE. If you PM me 100 decklists I will still only take the second one. So make sure you know what you want to play.
Please check your own decklist, and make sure that your deck that you're playing during the league conforms to that decklist. If you list 2 of a card and someone catches you playing 3 during a match we might have to kick you out.
4) League starts! Anyone can play anyone else in the league, simply set up games via the gchat channel - add acrecollection@im.partych.at to your gtalk. You can also arrange times via the board - don't flood the sub-board, go to specific players' thread to discuss setting up times with them.
5) Set up your own thread in the League subforum with the format "League 1 - Name" for example mine will be "League 1 - Tuism". In this thread the first post is yours to control. Here will be
a) Your GC REAL name - when inviting people it only shows real names, we'll need that.
b) Your decklist
c) Your results. The format is as follows:
vs Bronto: OOOOX
vs Ruggeder: OOOOO
The above means that of the five games max we've played, I've lost one to Bronto and not lost any to Ruggeder.
Each O or X is a game. We are NOT playing best of 3.
There will also be an easy Google docs spreadsheet set up, please update your scores there, it is open and anyone will be able to edit it. This is for the convenience of everyone. At the end of the day it will need to corroborate with your own thread's scores.
6) Only the first 5 games will count, so if you play 10 games, good that you enjoy the game so much, but it doesn't add to the league.
7) Update your own scores after each game. See above.
8) If there are discrepancies between two players/two sets of results, and the two players can't come to an agreement, admin staff (not just Tuism) discusses it and see whether to a) disqualify both players; b) have a re-match; or c) deduct points from both players. The judges' decision is final, we need to be harsh to discourage chancers and needless disputes.
9) Winners! At the end of the league period, results are tallied, and the players with the highest score get the honors.
10) Propose a new ruleset/theme/time period for the next league. Also (most importantly) we can play new decks in the new league.
So that's that, if you have any questions, if anything is unclear, please let me know. LET THE GAMES BEGIN ?
