How will it be ranked? By wins/losses? That's biased toward people with time. By who beat who? I beat Tuism beat Ironcladtrash beat me. By ratio of wins/losses? That's harder against people who play more.

By counting wins and losses. More wins = higher score. Unless there's a draw, then we count losses. Of course it'll be biased more towards people with time and played more... Unless someone has a suggestion for a fairer system? Ratios? I seriously can't accept that someone with 5 wins no losses should win the league against someone with 51 wins and 2 losses, for example. And this was really a league for fun, no prizes involved... Let's just be gentlemenly about this, right?

I can't figure one out... (A scoring system) I'll put a Rosa in Fiore towards the next League's winner.

The league is just for fun and our first try at a competive environment. It was definitely a lot of fun. Whoever Tuism says is the winner is fine by me. I would like to see all the stats compiled though, if anyone has it.
You got to give a lot of credit to Educated, Nyxeus, and Rob for playing the most games. Especially Nyxeus who I think played everyone participating.
Also it doesn't look like everyone has updated their totals. Falkinator and I squeezed a couple of games in this morning and VB hasn’t updated his in a while. If anyone else hasn’t updated theirs please do so.

I think you could list everyone's scores by most wins/loses and then also put a ratio score next to them and then also put a list of what type of deck( whose's deck) beat the other types of decks.
Something like that.

Oh. A composite score? Great idea!

It pains me a bit to say this, but I think we agreed that number of wins, not winning percentage would be the relevant stat for declaring the winner. Long-term this makes a lot of sense since this encourages everybody to play as much as possible. If winning percentage is used, we might get weird situations (in a future league) where someone doesn’t want to play after achieving 5 wins, or someone not wanting to play against a particular deck because it will hurt their percentage. I know I wasn’t exactly looking forward to playing against Joek, but it was comforting to know that I wasn’t hurting my chances of winning by playing against him. Tuism: Thanks for running this, it was great fun. If you do compile a spreadsheet with reported win/losses, I’d be very interested in obtaining a copy

I fully agree with you Falkinator2k!
So you may not end-up the winner of this league (I think EducatedCollins will be as he won 42 games), but I do think you were running the best deck in this META with the highest win rate. Congrats for that!
Tuism, many thanks for setting this up!

Maybe next time we do this I'll get into some more games. I really did want to play more often, but was mostly relying on auto-match to get games - that didn't work so well, obviously.
I wanted to see how my deck would do against someone besides Falkinator and Nyxeus - the two decks best constructed to crush me - but ah well.

I updated mine and fixed column D for everyone so it will calculate the winning percentages. It will show an error until data is entered in in the wins and losses columns.

I updated my data as well. When I was double checking that my numbers were correct, I noticed that Ruggeder (in his tournament thread) offered me free wins for our unplayed games.
4 more wins would put me at 42. Which would probably have been enough to win it all!

By the way, if we had input numbers (e.g. number of wins against each opponent), we would be able to double check numbers by adding up columns and rows. It would also make further analysis easier.

By the way, if we had input numbers (e.g. number of wins against each opponent), we would be able to double check numbers by adding up columns and rows. It would also make further analysis easier. I could still do it if we get the data entered in one place, but not sure that it really matters anymore. After the recent update seeing what decks did better against the others from this league is almost irrelevant now. At least we proved one thing. No one has a 90% win rate.
