I built my sequence around this build with what I had and it seems like forced charity is a must. I tried using plentiful crap but it's a poor substitute. However Discreet Calling isn't so bad to replace as you can draw out your heralds. This deck is by no means competitive but it is challenging to coordinate your efforts. I also ended up having to pack clothes make the man for my lack of Collateral Damages.
Overall I felt like I was hurting early especially if I drew out and mulliganed into 5, 6, and 7 cost cards. In hindsight Clothes is a great substitute for this deck if not a must. I think that Brilliant Burglary or Corrupted Herald should have at least a +1 inc to make those cards more useable. I used a couple of Lias in here to see if that helped also and it was hit and miss with her. Great concept and great potential for newer cards.

My version of this had clothes to help collateral and didn't play brilliant burglary. Corrupt herald really is fantastic in the right situation. Burglary is VERY hard to play and yeah probably needs some income to make me really wanna play it. When it goes off it goes off like a firecracker its like a double PP for a doomsday deck but a liiiittle more reliable than that.

I'm playing a variation on this -- instead of Ezio's, I use 4 Mario's and a The Clothes make the Man. One game I started off with 2 pp, TCMTM, Collateral Damage, and Herald. Had them at 0 income the entire match. It was actually quite rewarding to feel that in control of the game. However, there have been times when I've started with 0 income and gone several turns without drawing any -- and that's usually when the deck loses pretty badly.

OMGoose,
I think I'm one of the guys you played with the other day and then held me at 0 income the entire game. I think I tried to stick it out for a couple of days when you had income control just to see the strategy but man, that was a really depressing game for me so I quit.
In my defense, I started out with a really bad deck (just two cards with less than 3 income and then the rest with 4+ income - I think I was playing my red/green site control deck). When you got Collateral Damage out, then used Corrupt Herald the rest of the way, it was game over for me.
Good game, though - learned something from it.

Income denial decks are a lot like any other combo decks where a bunch of circumstances lead to a killer lock. Like 2 PPs + a doomsday. The problem is that these combos are only valuable at the beginning of a game, and so if you try to build your entire deck to achieve that it falls in longer games, or if you build it to survive you lose the focus of the combo which becomes much less powerful later in a game.
It s a high risk high fun solution, but not consistent.
