Just wondering if its really worth posting your auction house "wish list". Yes I have written down the cards I would like to sell/buy when AH is released, but are we really going to go out of our way to trade/buy/sell with these specific people posting wish lists? Or are you just going to have a frenzy when AH is released and get or give the cards wherever you can as fast as you can lol

I don't think trading is going to be possible. Private sales, eh, maybe, but there isn't enough info. Seems like a lot of work.
I think people are posting lists because they are excited. I am too. I just think it will come down to people using the marketplace to bid on cards they need and sell them instead of doing person to person trades.
Kind of sad that there is no direct trading. It's a great part of CCGs and also a great way to find value for cards.

You could direct trade if you trust the person you are trading with. You each set a ridiculous sell price-- no one will buy the card but your trading partner.

as bronto said, it's more of a checklist for myself than anything. and, also, to do a community a favor if they want to contact me regarding a card i have for sale. i'll make a special price for community members

Yes, private selling/trading will have to be done through trust, as Ringel said by putting a ridiculous price for a particular memory. Note that it will be hard to scroll through those ridiculous offers as they will appears at the end of the list (and you will see the interface is not very good for that since it's like browsing the leaderboard in game center )

If you can indeed cancel, you should be able to use a "reasonable" price, and cancel the buy requests of anybody other than the one you agreed to sell the memory to.

Yeah the list is actually more for myself than anyone else, and if anyone asks I can just point them here instead of looking it up again

I wish I could understand the rationale behind not allowing trading. I'm not fussing; very happy to have the Marketplace, just, I don't get it.

If you can indeed cancel, you should be able to use a "reasonable" price, and cancel the buy requests of anybody other than the one you agreed to sell the memory to. You can cancel an offer if nobody has accepted it, but once someone accepted it, you won't be able to cancel it anymore. It's a two step process. You do an offer, someone accept it -> done. There is not a 3rd step which would be "now that you know who are interrested, accept the offers you want".

I personally like this way it is described as. It would be totally retarded if I see a bunch of offers to sell, I offer to buy, and the seller decides "oh ok let me retract here cos someone is biting and maybe I can get more for them".
That's just about as bad as people going back on an auction. Fishing for higher prices. It's A waste of everyone's time.

Yeah Tu I don't like the sound of that.
All I really want are player to player trades and being able to sell and buy stacks of the same card. Other than that everything goes swimmingly.
Thanks as well for the response Hurdler. Makes sense! Keep up the good work guys.
