Hi to all! This is my first post and I hope this is the right sub-forum where post. I'm living near the real San Gimignano so I would like to build a deck around this card.... So is it a fun deck?? No. I think San Gimignano is a killer card (in my poor opinion). Please can you advice me with suggestions, because I think this deck needs some tuning to works better... Sites: 5x San Gimignano 5x Basilica di San Pietro 4x Engineer's Workroom Actions-pro-sites: 5x Pontifical High Mass 4x Papal Influence Boosts: 5x Plentiful Crop 5x Knowledge is Power Tools: 4x Papal Bull 4x Quick Study 4x Scientific Espionage 4x Lassitude 2x Daring Experiment Basic strategy is to win with San Gimignano. Avoid counter using Engineer's Workroom. Use Quick Study to pick what you need (Papal Bull, Lassitude). Counter with Scientific Espionage only after San Gimignano is in play. I think there is some problem with card drawing... Many thanks for your attention!

How do you counter with Scientific Espionage once SG is out? :]

SG is not Monteriggino Bronto.
I think the concept a bit strange. Sa giminao is strong enough to not need pontificial. Id drop pontificial for something different.

@the Rancord: Yes, you are right. In a early/primitive deck concept, I added some churchs and also added 5x Seeking Sanctuary. Then I removed the churchs to improve the "control" of the deck and removed also the Seeking Sanctuary. I left the Pontifical becuse I won several games pumping Workroom and the basilicas after my opponent focused his control on San Gimignano... Also the Pontifical brings back power to San Gimignano, if it is weaker than 8 ... Brontobeuf:

I'm still reeling from understanding how strong that incredible hulk deck is now that everyone has access to good cards. The fact of this deck is that a PYP can quite easily outpace your defences and steak your gimignanos before you... I've got a couple of gimignano decks, including engineer workroom ones like yours and I was really really shocked at how fast that strategy can steal and copy it and kill me with my own cards out of my own deck. So I've been trying to build my decks in the other direction... Or copy the copydeck and better it, lol
