Since the latest update, I have had the hardest time connecting to uPlay and GameCenter in the app. Basically, I have to restart the iPad to reestablish a connection; otherwise, I can't play. Even once I've restarted, as soon as I've been logged out for about two-three minutes, I won't be able to log on again without resetting the iPad. I connect immediately upon restart. Is anyone else having this problem?

I've had similar issues since the update. I currently play on the iPhone, and when I initially launch the app, I now have to enter my uPlay info (every single time). Once I enter, the game works fine. But if I minimize the app for any reason, it asks me to enter the info again and will not connect to uPlay unless I actually quit the app and restart.
Anyone else?

Forced close in the appbar is a little bit annoying but you get used to it. Sometimes i wish there was a "quit app/quit acr" button in the acr 2 finger swipe down menu, so i could quickly leave acr in a "ready for next game" state when i stop playing. On the other hand - you get used to it... and perhaps one day uplay can handle the app switches/connection losses.

Thanks, Tuism. I can't speak for jeremyat, but the app is definitely behaving differently since the update. Removing the uPlay app didn't seem to help, but I'll try again.

Tuism yes all of those things you listed help re-gaining uplay connection. I do agree with jeremy's original post though. Since the update I have found myself having to do these things from the link you posted Tuism (rebooting the app and stuff), before the update could switch between apps open and close ACR without re-booting it and uplay and gamecenter would connect just fine.. It seems something has changed. It still works but now I have to go out of my way to reconnect where as before it just did it by itself.

That strange, I wonder if everyone's having the same kind of problem or if there's an individual situation that's causing this. I play on 3G which is certainly not the best connection in the world, and I usually just restart the app (app switcher, close app by holding down on the icon) and it will work after a couple seconds in the app.
Can anyone offer more details on the circumstances?

I play on ipad2, up to date. Either with other apps running or not, if I leave the game, chances are that I won't be able to log in uPlay when I'll come back. To solve it, I tried many things, the only one working is to restart the ipad one or two times before trying to log in the game.

I'm also having a terrible time connecting. Sometimes it will go for hours and not allow me to log on regardless of how many hoops I jump through to make it work. This applies to both iPad 2 and the new iPad. If this was any other app on my iPad I would have deleted it days ago and walked away muttering under my breath. Just goes to show you the madness we will endure just to play ACR...

I can now use the force-close solution Tuism posted about to play most of the time. If I don't use it, though, I can't play without restarting the iPad.

I know this is old news, but today for some reason, the Uplay bug decided to kick it up a notch. Restarting the app, the pad, and reinstalling the app didn't work. I give up, I'll try tomorrow.
