I am sure that as a female, I'm in the minority of players, but it makes me cringe a little bit every time I see, "Waiting for opponent to select his sequence." Because my opponent also sees that sometimes, and I'm not a "he"!
Wouldn't it be better as "Waiting for opponent to select sequence" ?

I agree There's WAY too many "his" and "him" in this game, all through the card text, game interface, etc. Maybe it has something to do with being made by Europeans Just kidding But "waiting for opponent to select sequence" is a bit of a grammar oddball... "waiting for the opponent to select a sequence" would do But yes it is nitpicking But I agree

*maybe* his/her/gender references has different meanings in European languages (french etc), and that's why the language was left as it is. But maybe it's not, I don't know, was just kidding anyway

How about player (or) opponent or s/he? It bothers me, too. "They" bothers me as well.
Maybe it's "he" because of Desmond? He doesn't have a clear one-to-one nemesis on Templar side though, except maybe that lead scientist guy.
Another thing, History Glitch. Scores in all REGION become 0... c'mon, seriously?

I've played many of you, I've just been lurking shyly Yes, in French and most other romance languages nouns are masculine or feminine - so no harm is meant by it if the devs speak French. (As I was learning French, I always wondered.. who decided a table is feminine?!) Thanks for the backing guys, I thought I might seem like a raging, bushy-armpit feminist!

Thanks for the backing guys, I thought I might seem like a raging, bushy-armpit feminist! Calling herself “vinigrette?†dun think so. Maybe if your handle was some kind of sandwhich + tuna + poached eggs concoction. Ok. So I'm a little hungry maybe. You should tell Ubisoft change the language and remind them of womens' suffrage

doesnt this game come out of the vancouver ubisoft office? couldnt get further from europe if it tried.... however I understand the french language is the main one there so that could explain it.
I am also very impressed that pete has contributed to this thread without asking for pictures lol
My wife will be pleased to know that there are some females running around with ipads and actually playing games on them (no doubt she will have some sort of comment that she already knew as I was doing it.........) :-0
