I apologize for starting a new thread on this well trodden topic, however I wanted to ask a question regarding the problems a lot of us experience to varying degrees with network issues. Not being technically inclined I will probably sound naive but regardless the thought has crossed my mind more then once and so I thought it was worth asking the question. There is a lot of fine detail in this game with regards to the transitions of night and day, animations on cards when they are brought into play or are removed, etc, etc. all of this animation obviously comes at a cost to memory and it made me wonder if somehow this could also have a knock on effect. In future updates of this game it could be worth offering the ability to disable specific animations while playing online to see if this improved any of the various network issues. It would also be a good idea to rope in some of the community who experience these issues to try out any beta updates for their feedback on the effectiveness before final release.
Anyway just a thought.

The visual effects have absolutely no impact on the network code. They are all managed locally and are not synced. The only impact on the network code is sometime the carousel when it takes some time to refresh.
As for beta, that's something we might investigate (but there, it's more a legal problem and it's not my expertise)
