I was just browsing the market today and noticed some really crazy prices (on the buying side). Proof that card prices don't correspond with actual utility value - people just don't realise the power of some cards. Femme Fatale: 2700$ - WAY expensive Ancestral Discovery: 1000$ - WAY cheap Niccolo Machiavelli: 285$ - WAY cheap wow Pick Your Poison: 799$ - probably will bump up a few hundred more But generally the prices are pretty good. A few guys have been observing a steady increase in price, but nothing like these WAY off prices yet

i did offer the first femme fatale in the market. i placed it at 4000 and it was instantly grabbed lol. i knew some guys would love it but that even surprised me. afterwards i put in more of them for insanely high prizes and seems like it is now going down slowly like all the others. i dont wanna say its my fault but i could be a bit responsible for this price lol

I sold a Nico for 285 since I bought it for 135. I also picked up a Pick Your Poison at 300 two days ago. I got a High Profile Assassination for FREE three days ago.
There are deals to be had if you keep looking.

Last I checked, Ancestral's going for lower than Wrath of the Righteous or Doomsday. I thought the same thing about Femme Fatale, but all of the crime cards are ridiculously inflated. I usually log on and sell my crime commons for 10/15 credits each a couple of times a day. Depending on the card, you can flip a crime rare into two to four assassin packs (which then provide a steady diet of commons to sell).
I'm also pretty sure the market forever ends the debate about buying a mixed pack every day versus an assassin pack every two days (if you still want to use your credits for packs). There's no way I would ever risk losing 500 credits for a bunch of templar cards that can't be resold and can usually be bought for one to two credits.

Crime is inflated by rarity. Each card appears approx 2/3 as often as its counterpart, but when you skim off the first 5 that really inflates the rarity (depending on the number of purchases). For example, suppose someone has 12 Ancestrals and 8 Marios. That becomes 7 and 3 for the market.
Fortunately you might have noticed cards are picked in the reverse order in the packs now, so new rares should show up with equal frequency.

Well i never saw a femme fatale formless than 2k. But my offer of 900 was acceptd 4 times. Same for mario and ezio 3 times for 1300.
I still dislike pick sour poison and still find it overrated as hell. I removed from all of my decks, since i loose to much time browsing through enemy deck and dont find it that good.

Ringel: I figured the rarity of the crime rares explained the high prices of most of the crime rares (though there are some out there--pp, preemptive strike, and scientific espionage come to mind--that can compete with the price), but I'm still surprised at how much the commons and uncommons go for. Based on the discussions regarding how the cards were picked prior to the update, I assumed everyone would have the crime commons since they tried to equalize the colors of the cards you received and there were more crime commons than other colors. However, I didn't realize that the reversal of the cards in the packs reflected a change in how the cards in the pack were selected. I guess that explains why I've gotten a number of crime rares in the packs I've bought since the update went live.

Regardless of the distribution, since the market's gone live, a bunch of ppl has gone on the market believing that boosters, with it's randomness, will be less cost effective. And whoever puts commons and uncommons on are not likely to be tossing stuff up for free. Also it takes time. So I don't think common and uncommon cards are evergonna hit a "fair price", but they're so rare anyway it hardly matters cos ppl who want them will still buy it up cos its not bank breaking anyway. It's like buying angry birds for a dollar. Just do it

The inflated Assassin Crime Common prices really don't make sense (although many are quite useful), although the uncommons are presumably rarer and hence more pricey for a similar reason that the rares are rarer.

I just went to the market place today and I was totally surprised as to how much Il Carnefice costs! I bought 4 of them for 40-45 credits apiece. Seriously, I'm not even sure as to why it would be so cheap.

Everyone starts with Il Carne, so he is widely available. Maybe some people don't want to keep him so sell their only copy?
(Just look at the price of poor Malfato)

+ San Gimignano (~600ATM) -- underrated. Copycat (~800) -- overrated. And IMHO PYP is overrated too.
