So I see a lot of this type of decks pop up recently, and I thought, I'll share you my variant, which I lost exactly one game with so far, because of wrong decision making (but I won against the same dude immediately after, we both played the same decks) 5x Cesare 5x Lucrezia (she's an Official!!!) 5x Young Farmer 5x Court Order 5x Preemptive Strike 5x Pick Your Potion 5x In-depth Analysis 5x Forced Inheritance 5x By Order of the King 5x Knowledge is Power Game plan is pretty straight forward... Just fill your hand with cards, while countering all big threads and building up your income. Just slow down the first few agents with your Young Farmer, and use PYP to pick out the Opponents counters or big sites or site destruction cards. Once your opponent has emptied (most of) his hand start playing Lucrezia and Cesare. From there on it's usually a straight win...

Why don't you play Viscardi instead of the farmer?

I can block a 1/1 Agent two times, which buys me an extra day. I don't need a big agent later on, because I can play The Borgias then. In this deck it is only a stall agent who gives me +1 income.
The Young Farmer is actually a replacement for Plentiful Crop, which was in here before, but I lost a few games against agent rush decks, which is why I replaced it with a defensive card, that still gives me income.

Do you know a competitive deck that runs 1/1 agents? :]
I've seen so many games won by Teodor Viscardi, that I'm not so sure he's less good than the farmer. Also, he's a noble and can help you get a ressource boost early game if you have a bad hand.
Your call in the end.

1/1 Agents in a competitive deck, hmmm... Well, that was the only flaw before. Losing to Order/Media rush decks. I know Teo can win you a game. But so far I've not had any problems using Young Farmer. I never wished I had put Teo in instead of the Farmer. I did however had a few close games, where every point counted! And I was glad I could block 2 times before the Young Farmer only got killed... Also I never had income left over (so far) to be able to trigger the ability of Teo, anyway. But in many other decks he would be my choice over the Young Farmer.
