So I'm one of those people whose only real interaction with TCGs like this is...this. And LoadingReadyRun, but I digress.
I'd previously been running a 75-card deck that was basically two decks - Official/Heiress and Fierce Militant/Caha. With the marketplace's release, I've managed to pick up a couple missing cards to fill in, and stripped it down into a 50-card Fierce Militant and Caha rush, with Order purely income and support.
And I keep getting absolutely trounced by all these control decks, and I'm doing horribly even compared to my old deck, and I have no idea what to do.
So please, people who know what they're doing: Help! What do I need to do to counter control?

Run faster, play smarter, read a few posts in the academy section, pack counters.
Run faster means playing faster offense. Grimaldi, political patronage, donato, faster income, Borgia tower, try those.
Playing smarter means if you suspect your opponent will drop a wipe, hold back. Don't drop more than is enough to kill your opponent. Drop sites right before the timer moves past the right edge of the screen to make sure you score with it.
Go to the academy of recollection board and read a couple of posts, they really do help.
Packing counter will help against key wipes and removals or opposition agents. Untimely end is good in a rush deck to remove hurdles.
Good luck man.

As Tuism said, running faster is key to beating control decks. There are also a few cards that you can use that reduce the efficacy of many control cards, such as Dante, Borgia Tower, Art Gallery, Teodor, Magnetic Personality, even Tactical Upheaval played in conjunction with Dante. Sometimes all it takes to defeat a control deck is a Grimaldi and some protection for it. All depends on the matchup. The problem with a fierce deck is that it's supposed to run OVER other agents and you pay extra for that ability. Most control decks eliminate that edge.

I'm currently using the run faster approach, and having a lot of success. Another thing is to try use suprises instead of actions, if you are playing against control and relying on actions you are dead (unless you are packing enough counter/control of your own). E.g. A Deck relying heavily on papal incfluence is always vulnerable to control. So In my rush deck I try to use suprises as much as possible.

Beating control decks is just hard if you don't play control or mid-range aggro deck.
