Hi everyone,
working on a new thing that I put here to your wise critical judgement.
It's vaguely inspired from the 'Deck Destruction' by jeremyat.
As it is, there are lots of x3 memories and it somehow feels wrong. Yet, I can't decide what to focus on and what to sacrifice...
...oh, and I don't have x5 political patronage, right now I use x2 PP and x3 Dama Rosa..... but with time and patience, I'll get them !
x5
Plentiful crop - ACTION • money booster
Political patronage - ACTION • money booster
Crypt Della Visitazione - LAND • makes the win : +1 influence in every region when opponent discards one memory
x4
Mysterious stranger - AGENT • opponent discards a memory
The Spaniard - AGENT • everybody draws 1 additional memory
Ancestral Discovery - ACTION • draw 2 memories in the archive
x3
Divine Intervention - ACTION • discard and a little money (wish I had 5 of them)
Clothes make the man - ACTION • makes a copy of an action, always handy in an action based deck. You might want to get it back with your AC
Easy come, easy go - ACTION • all lands see their influence go to 0
Wanted posters - ACTION • agent destroyer
Doomsday - ACTION • opponent discards all hand.
Let who without sin - ACTION • opponent discards 2 memories
Sacred vision - ACTION • look at the bottom of a sequence (yours preferably), put one memory in the archive and 4 others on top of your sequence in the order you like
x2
Wrath of the righteous - ACTION • destroy all agents
So, the obvious idea is to win by discarding opponents hand, thereby scoring through the Crypt. Discarding also prevents you from getting hurt by opponents memories.
- The Spaniard may attack and defend, but he's really useful because quite soon enough, the opponent has no memory in hand anymore, due to your numerous previous actions. The Spaniard is there to make it possible to score more than one in every region through the Crypt. Imagine : you have 2 Spaniards and 2 crypts. Then use Doomsday so it discards right after the draw. That's 4 memories washed out, and +8 influence in all regions. If you had made a copy of Doomsday with Clothes…. you get the idea
- Sacred vision is here to fight the HUGE weakness of this deck : it relies on ONE memory, the Crypt… I use it as a tutor. As a matter of fact, I first tried something with Scholar instead of Media, but it's no as good in resisting against aggressive decks, so….
- Ancestral Discovery is the swiss-knife tool to recover your neutralised or used memories and/or use fine memories of your opponent that you have joyfully discarded. But really, focus on getting back one Clothes out of the two cards… and of course the eventually lost Crypt
It works basically, but it's still a bit slow… and it relies on ONE memory. I know… it's a sin , but I really want to do something with the Crypt... Maybe more agents to diversify scoring ?... Maybe some Papal Influences ?... (but you can't get them back in hand with AD )...
