I just bought 2 assassin packs about 30 minutes ago. I'm on a 3G connection but typically able to use the marketplace. I opened the first pack without issue, but received an error when I tried to open the second pack saying I couldn't connect to the server. I force quit the app, restarted it, managed to log back in and the second pack is missing. I looked through all of my assassin rares to see if it opened without telling me and don't see it there (I pay pretty good attention, I think I have my assassin rare counts down although I can't guarantee that). I'm out the 900 creds. Would this classify as a bug? It's definitely annoying and it's due to the connection issues with the ubisoft server.

Also had this happen to me before, but ubi said it did open and I was mistaken

Who knows? I pay a lot of attention to my assassin rares and don't see one from that pack. It's funny, someone else had posted something similar about 90 minutes earlier. Who did you talk with at Ubi to confirm that it opened?

I wish someone could find the thread... I forgot what it was about so I can't find it.

Well they just said that if that happens then the next time you connect to uplay then it updates your cards correctly. I could not confirm or deny that this happens though.

All that stuff is maintained server side so that makes some sense. Worst case it's the loss of 900 creds.

Something goofy is going on. I had 2837 credits. I bought an assassin pack. Game replies "you don't have enough credits to make this purchase." "Cannot connect to the app store." "Cannot connect to Uplay server." Checked to make sure I wasn't crazy. Yep...2837 credits. Try to purchase an assassin pack again and this time it works. I open my assassin pack. Woohoo! Leo! Check my credits. 1037

Check my credits. 1037 I believe there's nothing wrong with this issue. When you purchase a pack, if you encounter a message saying "you don't have enough credits", you can exit the app, double tap the home button, and "kill" the app as Ubisoft suggested. Then start recollection again, before you go to the "buy pack" menu, check if you are connected to uplay. Most of the case, you will find the so-called lost pack will be in the pack menu. If you are disconnected when "fetching memories", or you can't find your lost pack in the pack menu, the memories in the pack are automatically put into the library. You probably won't notice that because you have many copies of the same card. There's no bug causing players to lose their pack, don't worry.

Just bought an Assassin pack. I can see my unopened pack but when I try to open it it says "unable to connect to ubisoft servers". This is really odd as the market is working fine. Restarting the app results in no change.

There's no bug causing players to lose their pack, don't worry. How could you possibly know that? At best all you can say is you've never lost any packs yourself.

Restarting the app results in no change. This has happened to me twice in two days. And both times the pack has disappeared after one or two times of going out and coming back in to try and open it, and both times I have no idea if I REALLY did get the new cards. I didn't get the key assassin cards I am looking for, but who knows if I got anything...

He says this because we've seen many many many people report this to later be confirmed that they did see cards that they never had in their collection. Also the devs have described the way buying of the cards work, as soon as you tell the game to open packs the cards are added to your collection server side. There shouldn't ever be a state of you getting a pack, opening a pack but the server not knowing about it. Make sense? If anything you should force a sync with the server, which simply means opening your sequence editor while being online. That is all.

I can no longer see the pack and try to open it. I've looked through my cards and can't see anything new. While I can't be 100% certain I did do a mental stocktake 2 days ago and have a very good idea about the state of my Assassin rares.
Will try the sequence editor thing, I was using the view all cards screen.
Had another look, this time with the sequence editor. I'm 99% sure there's no new rare in my collection.
Can't speak for common or uncommons. Don't bother tracking those.

Well, of course I can't be 100% certain that there will never be a case of a lost pack, but I've never encountered it myself and we've confirmed that many instances turned out to be not the case.
Based on this we make our recommendations, if you're sure you have a bug on your hands please try and replicate, and discover if there is a trigger for such a circumstance... is all I can say, otherwise the devs have very little to go on anyway, see?

I had another sync issue today when opening two different packs. Got both rares, but you'd think it wouldn't cause a sync error 25-50% of the time packs are opened.
