Hi everyone, here is a deck I first thought to put in 'fun and concept' as I conceived it... but I haven't lost with it yet, confronting many different decks... so I guess it makes it competitive INCOME 5 Forced Inheritance SITES 5 Castel San Angelo 5 Basilica di San Marco AGENTS 5 Teodor Viscardi 5 Heathen Follower 5 Militia Pikeman 5 Arquebusier 3 Capable Carpenter ACTIONS 5 Court's Order 4 Wrath of the Righteous 3 Preemptive strike As the title suggests, the idea is to play lots of agents in order to mark through San Angelo, and to let them die to mark (slowerly, though) via San Marco. The sites (influence 2) are strong enough to slow a site based deck, and the counter actions are there to stop a Merchants Guild or a Forli for example. Against an agent deck... well, just block ! With 23 agents, you don't get overrun easily. And If you do, use the Wrath of the Righteous. Heathen Follower should mainly work to put the others in hand and keep them there until a San Angelo is played. If the game turns out to be a long one, you may pay to get Teodor to be 4/4, to accelerate things a little bit. VoilĂ !

I played with your idea a little. It seems to be more fun deck than competitive IMHO. Main problem as I see it is inconsistency - you have no way to find the key cards (Castel and basilica) when you need it. So I exchanged Carpenters and Pikemen (vanilla 1/1 agents are rather weak) to Benevolent Midwife and Dante. Also I added some Ancient Discoveries instead of some counters (court orders) and 1 Forced Inheritance. Midwife allows you to find the key cards a little bit faster and has good synergy with AD. Dante is good in defence and has self-destruction mechanism when you have no Wrath Tiny bit of synergy with Basilica Deck become better but not enough to be real threat.... At least it's fun to try something new.

yeah, it should definitively be in fun & concept.
I just saw your suggestion with benevolent, dante & AD. Meanwhile, I had done some changes myself in another direction, so it would less rely on the key cards and be more adaptative. It works better, and I noticed Borgia tower works out well as a bluff card : if you play it at the same moment you play any other site, the opponent will counter Borgia... which is very convinient, but definitively not the key card. Expensive bluff, but interresting notion.
INCOME 4 plentiful crop 4 forced inheritance
SITES 5 Castel di San Angelo 5 Basilica di San Marco 3 Borgia Tower
AGENTS 5 Teodor Viscardi / I might trade them for the Benevolents 5 Heathen follower 5 Arquebusier 5 Mysterious stranger 5 Marco Barbarigo 4 Honnest worker
That way it doesn't need to rush for key cards as badly as it did. I might put some AD too... And put back some Wrath of the righteous...
