I have every story mission achievement except for "Brutal Clash." that is the one where you must neutralize 20 agents and win the match in Roma. I just can't seem to do it. That is far too many agents to simply counter. Does any one have a deck they already got this achievement with? I've gotten close but I will obviously have to tweak my deck further. Any tips or suggestions? It's one of the tougher achievements that don't involve spending money.

Countering agents? That's not the most efficient way, surely. I think something red with silvio and animus reboots and wraths, and black threat agents... Or media for carnivale and Calling All Stand-Ins and Magnetic Personality? I've never really went after achievements though, so I'm not suggesting out of experience

It says neutralize, which I assume is kill on the field. It doesn't say "make opponent have 20 agents in his Archive." I would utilize the red discard cards if that was the case. I don't think there is a way to figure out what the achievement actually wants. If Ubisoft's rep would post more than once a year, we could figure this stuff out. The official board is down till Jan 9th.
I've been running a blue/black deck with a lot of counters and low costing thieves which I boost with Lanz and Borgia Tower. I think I killed 16 agents once. I didnt think about Animus Reboot. I'll add that.

The question is... Are agents "neutralized" when they go to the Archive without ever being launched? Like from your hand or from your sequence? For the sake of card wording, that is an important question.

I know launching agents can be neutralized. I said "from your hand or sequence." If it is launching, it no longer is in your hand.
Is an agent you are forced to "discard" count as being "neutralized."

Yep, all kills are neutralise, except for Under Arrest's Erase effect. And if not countering them while being cast, what did you mean by "counter"? So anyhoo, pack Faux Pas, Easy Target, I think a bunch of Threat agents would do you very well, too. Or mass wipe with Reset, but that's not a permanent solution. Threat agents. And attack attack attack. Use Magnetic Personality, and Dante Morro to kill without being killed. Just some more ideas

When I said "counter," I did mean neutralizing them while being cast. My question was about the red cards that don't use different words.
Doomsday- "Opponent discards all his memories."
Let He Who is Without Sin- "Opponent discards his 2 Memories with the highest Cost(at random in case of a tie.)"
Are agents lost that way considered "neutralized?"
That was my question. Sorry for the confusion.

Nonono, discards aren't neutralized. Only when the cards are played can they be neutralized.

Gotcha. I'll implement your ideas into my own and we'll see if I can knock this thing out. Thanks for the suggestions.

Got it! Blue/green deck, gold gain, card draw, and a lot of counters. After killing 22 agents, I sealed it with with a good, old-fashioned, family-friendly RI/Pantheon combo.
