I use this deck for grinding fast. It can be very brutal early game with a good starting hand. It has beaten a high skilled mad counter deck - just barely. It is a variation of another deck in here. It goes for a fast site that buffs your agents before a counter deck can counter it and before tactical upheaval kills your guys.
Income (4): 4 political patronage
Sites (9): 5 Borgia towers 3 templar sanctuary 1 art gallery
Agents (23): 5 Theodor viscardi 5 Dante Moro 5 dama rossa 5 horse merchant 3 caterina sforza
Actions boosters (14): 5 tactical upheaval 5 man of the people 4 magnetic personality
A good hand is both a booster site and agents. A perfect hand also includes a PP to instantly drop agents and a Borgia tower or Templar sanctuary. Making the agents safe from TU when they land.
A little bonus move is the use of tactical upheaval on the horse merchant. Use it on a Borgia and get a 5/1 agent for the price of 1. Alternatively if no boosters: use Dante to make him safe and then TU him for a 4/4. Works like a charm.
Catarina is there to take their best agents. She is cheap and can still be used even against decks with no agents. She is also a safe target for TU in case no booster sites show up.
It is a fun deck. Definitely has weaknesses but it works really well. Think it is a surprise for many players to lose in turn 3 to cheap agents that are insanely buffed.

Is the surprise for you when the art gallery comes up?

Well, Pete. I had 4 in before last mod, but found I'd rather have more magnetic personality and Templar sites. Maybe pull the last one for something else?
Art gallery works well in the deck, but I had too many sites I think. I also like the Templar sanctuary sites more.

True. Although I only have 3 Besides. You can't really use a forth Templar sanctuary but there may be use for an art gallery to score fast against an agent based deck.

I tried this deck -2 pp's since I don't have 4. I battled to get the combos out. What do you do if that happens?

Pete, nok sure I follow you, but if you get no way to boots your guys, you are in trouble. There are several ways though.
St4lker, order for the king will slow this deck down. I would rather just deploy instantly than wait half a turn. I like that card, just not in this deck.

Well, Pete said he was struggling for combo's, and this deck has no draw power...

Draw power is hard in blue/purple. Except for TU. But the deck is hit or miss. If you get nothing to boost with, you are screwed. There should be plenty of boosters though. 8 sites, 10 effects and the TU/Dante combo. It does happen you don't get any for 2 turns, but not that often. It that case you loose against a good deck.
