Since we are near the first expansion of the game and we all had time to play with the cards from the first set, i would like to see wich cards people think are the best. My top 5: 5- Doomsday - It wins on the spot so many times. Only 5 cause its uselles sometimes. 4- Preemptive Strike - Catch all + Card advantage = pure win. 3- Knowledge is power - Simple, elegant, usefull to no end. I have a hard time imagining a schollar deck that doesnt want to play the full amount. 2-Political Patronage - Only good at the begining but allows for overpowered starts. Its the only card i think it was a design mistake. 1- Scientific Espionage - Undercosted by at least 4 gold. Countering an in depth is ridiculous... Its interesting to notice that i dont think any agent or site are good enough to make the cut. Opinions

Hmmmm... since you have an All-Actions list, I'll put my top 5/6 Sites on here:
5 - Borgia Tower/Art Gallery - rush deck must-haves
4 - Secret Catacombs - removes site from opponent's control, transfers to you, and in play instantly
3 - Assassin Guild - helps in controlling being overrun by agents
2 - Buried Cathedral - helps in weeding out opponent's key cards
1 - San Gimignano

Leonardo. In my opinion, he is hands-down the best agent in the game. He gets you two cards AND has cunning so he can block any agent in the game and blocks fierce? I'd also put San Gimigiano, Political Patronage, Scientific Espionage, and Ancestral Discovery on the list.

Top Ten in no order (couldn't get myself to do five): Scientific Espionage Preemptive Strike Cesare Borgia Political Patronage San Gimignano Divine Intervention Ancestral Discovery Tactical Upheaval Carlo Grimaldi Leonardo Da Vinci
Honorable Mention: Silvio Barbarigo Mysterious Stranger Borgia Tower/Art Gallery Sudden Exhaustion Lanz Venezia, San Polo District
I'm also curious how you guys would rank the more commonly seen archetypes.
Tier 1 - Blue/Green counter control, Purple/Black Thief aggro Tier 1.5 - Red/X discard variants, Purple/Blue Tower/Gallery aggro, Site Ramp decks, Green/Purple "Copy" effect decks, the Green/Black two-for-one special Tier 2 - Exit Stage Right, Monteriggioni, Militant Aggro
*Bonus* I'd like to congratulate Femme Fatale on being the worst strategy EVA! Here's to you!

no love for doomsday Its really backbreaking against many many decks About leonardo, i never played him (credit issues) and my deck can largely ignore him (or the game is already lost). But i know he i very good. and lefthighkick, about decks, inclued faith / scholar pandemic/doomsday at least as tier 2. Thats the only deck i play, and although i have a ahrd time against order/scholar, i eat rush decks for breakfest...

I mean, I'm not asking for a tuned or tested version, I looking for a initial version to tune by myself Thanks in Advance Barchie

Barchisa, we have an entire section with three sub threads devoted to deck lists, in budget, competitive and interesting concept format...

Barchisa, we have an entire section with three sub threads devoted to deck lists, in budget, competitive and interesting concept format... Hi thest4lker Thanks for the advice, I've tried to read that but most of the lists seem to me very sketchy or preliminary ( IMHO at least), and I was a little bit confused for the large number of articles. I just asking for some solid start points, maybe on Purple/Black Thief aggro or Site Ramp decks . Thanks anyway, Barchisa

Barchisa, we have an entire section with three sub threads devoted to deck lists, in budget, competitive and interesting concept format... True, this isn't really the thread for this, but in fairness to Barchisa we don't really talk much about the staple decks in the format in there. Barchisa, I'll PM you. With only a couple weeks left before the format changes I don't see the harm in dropping a couple lists on you.

A great many of those decks in the competitive decks thread are VERY solid, I don't know what you mean by sketchy. Also, you could tune in on the decks posted by the known experienced players: Brontobeuf was the original poster of great decks, then a couple of guys also joined in take some time to go through the frequent and experienced posters. It's worth your while to understand the game rather than just ask for top decklists and replicate.

It's worth your while to understand the game rather than just ask for top decklists and replicate. I agree with the sentiment but the reality is that "netdecking" is one of the best and fastest ways to learn as a beginner. The catch is that you have to keep your brain turned on while you play so that you understand why the list is constructed the way it is. As long as you're questioning everything and continue to experiment, there's no harm in grabbing a top decklist and jamming it for a while.

Without a competitive environment to play decks or at least better match making, I don't think I could effectively rank decks.
I don't think I've met a tier one purple/black deck yet. My own certainly is not.
