Hey all! Let's start posting competitive concepts again. :] It's a bit presomptuous to consider a deck competitive when I got no idea how the Metagame will evolve in the next months, but still, I think this deck is really strong reglardless of the meta we're in. It may be improved by making it quickier. I got rolfstomped by a thieves deck just because I was a bit too slow. So suggestions are welcome. EDIT: new version, more stable and quick than before. You will also have a good toolbox inside. 1x Roman Pickpocket 5x Holy Day 5x Discreet Calling 5x Source of all Life 1x Roman Temple Ruins 5x Forced Charity 5x Funeral Pyre 1x Turkish Assassin 1x Forgotten Asylum 1x Giovanni Auditore 2x Mario Auditore 3x Yerebatan cistern 1x Ezio Assassin 1x Maria Thorpe 2x Ancestral Discovery 1x Leap of Faith (just because I like the card, play something else please) 5x Assassin Stronghold 5x Byzantine Ruins *Playbook* It's not really hard to play. You just try to build up a lot of ressources and to kill as soon as you can with your 10-cost sites. Most of the time, there is no game. EDIT: Now you may have more choices as I've added a quick toolbox to the deck. You will have quick, mid game and end game solutions to your problems and some solutions to get easy wins the same way than before. Hope you'll enjoy it.

Funeral Pyre is really awesome. The sites have defender right? Otherwise papal is a pain

The big sites are SUPRISES. :] The cheap one is DOMINANT.
And yeah, Funeral Pyre is really huge.

Yeah byzant can counter. Den defense and plentiful crop have the same effect on income btw PLentiful gives u 1 gold more to operate for 0.5 days, but blocks and action slot in the time.

I don't see a good reason to play Crop anymore. Unless you REALLY need ressources BADLY.

well right at start of game, you could play crop and a one cost card, wich doesnt work with den defense Of course if u have not much low cost cards and alot of action den is the better choice.

Is this the deck you used against me last night? I thought I had you when I played 2 buried cathedrals and I didn't think there were any counters available in your hand but your surprise sites killed them just like that.

Yes I think it was this deck. I've updated it with a new idea to make it a little bit faster and stable. I'll update if I got satisfying results today.
My concern is about combo decks. Even with counters, I built some decks that can be very explosive before I can get 5 ressources... Whatever, we'll see. :]

Played some as well with it. Its kinda cool deck, but the buildup is not really stable, and sometimes you just cannot reach the income u need.

Any suggestions?
On a funny note, I faced the deck yesterday... and beat it. But the guy could have won it, he made a major mistake.

... You DO like your surprise sites! These sites are I think the nicest addition of the expansion. Haven't tried your deck yet, but I can imagine as income is very important in this deck, you do have to draw the right cards in the beginning otherwise you cannot control the game fast enough. I will try this one out to see for myself!

I'm deciding to take a look at this deck after being kicked around by Rob playing this.
The more I know about, the weaker it'll get.

I think this type of deck is currently the strongest and most consistent. I've been playing it for a while and have a very high win-rate 90+%). Holy day is really important as it is an early income booster and shows your opponents hand, so you know exactly what card to get to counter whatever they have (using discreet calling and source of all life).
I also think this deck will be heavily impacted by any balancing actions that are to come...

Any of the strongest strategies will be most hurt by any balancing And yeah I do agree. My version of this is super consistent, unless opponent starts countering my income boosters - in which case it becomes a race between their Suleiman/cisterns/ruins and my income building. I wonder what's anti-this. I think Piri rushes are probably most viable anti this.
