Scholar Surprise Action 0 cost
Draw a Memory.
Perhaps I'm missing a potential strategy, but what is the use of this card? I could see why it would be good if there were a gold bonus, but it seems to just add a step to drawing a memory directly.

Deck thinning -- You can have a deck that is effectively 45 cards instead of 50 Synergy with card drawing effects. Leonardo's workshop scores one point every time you draw a card for example.

Awesome card. It directly increases chances to draw all the other cards in your deck.

Yep, it's literally making your deck smaller. Sofia's office's also cool like that, but slower

I just wondering...If many people think a smaller deck is a better deck, why not pack 5 ancient map when use scholar? It's only rival is piri, perhaps maria del fiore as well. A 45cards deck should have some advantage against a 50cards deck.

A 45cards deck should have some advantage against a 50cards deck. Well, you still need diversity and some decks can't "afford" to use 5 Ancient Maps without exceeding 50 cards or losing helpful cards (especially tutorable toolbox cards that you only use in 1 or 2 copies). At least, that's my reason for not packing 5 ancient maps in every scholar deck.

;)That's also my reason. I haven't try putting 5 ancient map in a deck. I'm not very good at deck building so I can't calculate the possibilities to get each card. But I think maybe with 5 ancient maps, we can focus on what we want and some toolbox cards may not be necessary.
