Hey again, So, someone talked about this combo on the forums and I made a deck with it. It has weaknesses, but it will be a major meta definer. That's for sure. So everything is based around a combo and what may happen when you are playing against someone who wants to break this combo. 5x Holy Day 5x Den Defense 5x Discreet Calling 5x Forced Charity 5x Leap of Faith 5x Losing Faith 5x Byzantine Ruins // Yerebatan Cisterns (good suggestion from matavious) 5x Assassin Stronghold 5x Abbazia di San Mercuriale 5x Maria Thorpe *Playbook* Build up your ressources and your hand. Play a discreet Calling to get Maria. Play Abbazia and do the combo as long as needed to get a clear field for you. Kill with your big sites. *Tricks* Holy Day and discard effects can mess up your combo pretty bad. Leap Of Faith will get the Marias back in the Sequence and if you expect Holy Day, you can wait to play your Discreet Calling a little to protect her in your deck. Be sure to remove Site destruction cards with your Losing Faith. But sometimes, you may want to remove a stornger key card in opp's deck. If you expect Scientific Espionnage, play this at your own risk. If you can, remove them. Even if your combo is broken, don't lose faith. :] The win can happen easily with Assassin Stronghold and Byzantine Ruins in your hand. Tweak it at your own convenance, I like the stability given by the 5 copies of each cards. Hope you'll like, but please, don't play it too much against newbies. It's not fun at all and they may not even understand what's going on.

an opponent with more than one loosing faith can erase maria thorpe and byzantine ruins and ruin your hole game

Yes, again... Losing Faith is a card that can ruin a lot of decks. For instance, I can do it myself on your Cyril and ruin your Eraser deck. I can just do it before him, counter his with a Byzantine, or just win in another way.

Including the two faith as a hedge against the inevitable hate this deck will draw is interesting. One step ahead bronto.
I'm using the cheaper red surprise counter (cistern ) since its half the cost and countering has a half day window. Assassin stronghold and Maria clean up the agents that get though. As an aside, the surprise sites are great and that they counter / removal puts them over the top.

I played something like this deck and cant finish de game, oponent disconects in the next 2 secs.. Thats the worst thing. Not funny, but good to get the rewards fast.... I play this memories with media. P.pat. Can give you a strong begining, you can copy the eraser memories, and use altair 2/1 to score (but i never played him... Cause the disconect) And for me, in this kind of deck, buried cat. Is a must

Could you share your deck list in a new thread? Looks interesting and, in fact, different as Faith/Crime is mandatory in this deck.

I'll come out and say it - this deck is a problem and might require a nerfing - there is very little skill needed to make the combo work and it's incredible against site and agent stragties alike.
Most importantly, it's incredibly bad for new players to run into decks like it. Any idea on what could be done to stop the core combo? I think it's the site that needs adjusting.
I'll also say - great job building it! The construction took a look of skill - something I've come to expect from Brontebuef!

Suggested name:
How do you solve a problem? With Maria.
I wanted to do a double Maria (Auditore/Thorpe), but didn't have the cards.

I built a deck based on this, and I didn't even have to look at bronto's list. The cards in this "cycle" are all pretty obvious choices to me, too. Anyhow, I think there's blatant overpower issues here... Yeah I remember that game against you Top Shelf, I in fact wanted to slit my own wrist, it was so bad. I stopped playing it after.

Yikes. I've only read about it and conclude it is OP. Tuism's comment convinces me.
Good counters: Holy day (removes the 11 cards for the combo) Anti site cards (even the new fishing village may have a use here) Papal bull
Unfortunately many of the best counters here are faith.

I predict the war of Holy Day cards.

I don't believe this kind of situation should be allowed, it'll need a nerf, along with some of the other combos/cards, or we're back to Lanz/Cesare. So I'm not even gonna think about how to deal with this yet

Holy Day is not even a good solution during the combo. You can protect your Maria with the Abbazia.
