Just rage quit after facing my 5th discard opponent in a row.
I'd just like to make something clear. Anyone who uses discard against me will win. I'll fold on day 2. If you actually want a game pick another deck, any other deck.
If anyone can point me to a deck with 100% win rate vs discard I'll reward them with 5 Divine Intiventions. I'd rather beat them than join them.*
I really really miss the immune to discard Papal Influence feature.
*Offer made while on tilt. May be revised after a batch of fun games.

Why don't you just play the 11 costs or counter or just be fast?

Most every discard deck worth its salt plays an opening Holy Day or waits to drop Underground Refuge before playing Divine Intervention or Mysterious Stranger. Ironclad played a good discard deck against my 11-cost card deck yesterday--it was close but his Hagia Sophia crushed me in the end.

Family heirloom to take the incite revolt card into hand when they play a non-erase discard works great

My Militant deck is awesome against discard. I'm gonna place my offers at 0 gold for the Divine Interventions, thank you!

Why don't you just play the 11 costs or counter or just be fast? Was that in sarcastica font? PP is already in 80% of my decks, I always build and play for speed. Love the 11s, unfortunately some bright spark created Holy Day rendering them useless as a defense.

Counter and speed are definitely helpful against discard. But the biggest thing that can mess up my discard decks is if you out draw me. Playing scholar for draw and using scientific espionage is a good strategy against them. You'll never have 100% win rate against a good discard deck but that should be true vs any good deck.

Cappadocian market would make those 11s into 12s. I'd put Faux Pas in there.

Cappadocian market would make those 11s into 12s. I'd put Faux Pas in there. I did not think about that. Clever. Then you can stop an non-golden 11 combo from going.

Cappadocian market would make those 11s into 12s. I'd put Faux Pas in there. Interesting. Does that actually stop Holy Day from working? You'd have to be overly paranoid to play that combo to protect 11 cost cards and you couldn't play it before the first dropped Holy Day most of the time. But neat idea if it works.

Even better. You play holy day yourself. If you don't see any cost 11 but cost 10, play the market site and another holy day to remove all cost 10 cards. Bye bye assassins stronghold, cesare etc. Can be made useful to some extend.

Ha, lurifaxb, that would seriously screw up 80% of my decks!
