For anyone running a Scholar deck I'd recommend having a look at including Bitter Sweet.
It's a 3 cost Suprise that gives +1 gold, return target ally to its controllers hand.
I find it's a multi use card,
- return opponents fattie just before he is about to score - it negates a calling all stand ins token - recycle an ability agent like Mario or Caterina - save your own agent from a wipe - return a Theodore to 0/1 - negates a sudden exhaust
Just a few examples there's more, what do you guys think?

It's not a bad card, you want to play 2 or 3 of those max in a deck because it's not a real solution to anything though.
I think Bronto described its use quite right in one of this articles

Not a bad card at all. Just hard to put in a deck where scholar have a lot of other cards to propose.

Same!! Got something like 3 or 4 Carnefice bounced back in a game because of this and the doctor... I stopped playing the Butcher btw, too much Sudden Exhaustions.

you stated the most important purposes there. did you notice the most useful ones are the ones with your own cards? like negating sudden ex or multiple use of mario? get malfatto instead of it u knew i would say that right?
