This is an evolution of a direct damage deck of mine. I finally built it to go entirely without sites or agents. It has a pretty decent win record, all things considered, but definitely has bad match ups (many of the stronger meta archetypes). It can be challenging to play--although your opponent probably thinks you have it completely under control the whole time. Really it is right on the edge most every game.
Resource Boosters: 5 x Holy Day 3 x Den Defense 5 x Weapons Cache 4 x Funeral Pyre
Direct Damage: 4 x Royal Intervention 5 x On the Attack 5 x Papal Influence 3 x Janissary Justice
Defense/Utility 5 x Militia Intimidation 5 x Preemptive Strike 3 x Wrath of the Righteous 3 x Royal Decree
Your best bet is an early Holy Day and plan your game from there. A lot of the cards serve double purposes-- there are enough cantrips to usually get the direct damage you need.

I love this deck! Too bad it falls to counter strong decks. Luckily there aren't too many of those around...

I just went up against this I was a little nervous towards the end... It is strong and I only won thanks to taking out Royal Decree to keep my sites going.

That'd be a fun deck to go up against, I think. If we happen to get matched up, please use it - I'd like to try my usual faith/scholar/ottoman gunmen deck against it (assuming that I remember - sometimes I don't bother looking at the name before choosing a deck). My deck is nothing special, and certainly not a rush deck, but I'd like to try anyway. Most of my wins against non-counter decks come because I'm able to nerf enemy agents to 0 w/Byzantine Church or simply out-point the opposition's sites. I don't know if I'd be able to do anything against a deck that has no agents or sites.
