kackman - I think the steps are fine but the problem you'll face here is that once the day starts (card-draw phase), you'll end in a stalemate since both of you have no cards left in play. You can only go over the card-draw phase in this situation if you played Incite Revolt, otherwise, you'll have to win before the card-draw phase. I wait to play "The Discovery" until after the half-day has passed, so that it resolves when I have no cards and so that I have a card to draw normally when the day passes. I understand that if I played it before the half day it would draw my last card and result in a stalemate.

But here's the thing, when you draw that last card during card-draw phase, the game would still judge it a draw. I think the logic goes like this: 1) Draw a card. 2) Validate if no cards are left in both players Sequence; if none, then it's a draw. 3) If there are cards left, continue play.

Edit before posting: I'm writing this first part after rereading your post. The stalemate logic only applies if both players have no cards in their sequence when it is time to draw a card as the day passes. Thus, you can draw your last card due to the passage of a day even if it leaves you both with no cards, and you have that one single day remaining to win or lose before the stalemate happens the next day. Original post: It doesn't work like that - I tested last night and alluded to my test above, although I didn't go into detail. I played a deck with about 60 cards in it against the AI, and did one of the Vaticano story missions. I used the Maffeo/Giorgios combo that is shown in the riddle to keep the AI from scoring all game. I let the AI run out of cards, then allowed myself to run out of cads. As soon as I drew my last card (thanks to the passage of a day), I played The Discovery. When it resolved, it discarded a card as normal but the game continued even though I didn't have any cards to draw. I even played a couple Tactical Upheavals after that to see if the draw card->no card to draw->continue game sequence was valid - both TUs resolved without issue. Of course, once the next day hit the game ended in a stalemate as expected.

Ok, the devs must have changed the logic then. Because I'm pretty sure before that you get a stalemate when this happens (happened to me at least 3x before). Thanks for posting this and explaining. Some things change ever so slightly and we usually don't get all the changes from the Update section of the app.

=>coolkendude: Thank you for reporting the possible [Janissary Justice] bug.
=>kackman73: Great for you to join this contest! Excellent solution as always. Thank you for updating us with the new card draw mechanics. (Just one thing though, the [Mosque's Yard] in the centre region prevents any agents power 5 or more from campaigning, so your [Cesare Borgia] won't be able to do anything.)
=>coglongshot: Thanks for joining my small contest and for your great solution. It is very elaborated indeed!
*** The contest will close very soon. I'm now verifying all the submitted solutions and once I'm done a winners announcement will be made shortly. Thank you all once more for participating!

Thank you all once more for participating! Oh, shoot. I didn't look closely enough at that site and thought that it was a Topkapi Palace (thus my earlier thoughts regarding a Learned Hermeticist). In that case, now I'm curious as to how the opponent managed to launch a 7/7 Cyril. Would've had to have been a 4/4 Cyril then... 3 cards erased that quickly after launching? I didn't get the site down until after he launched, maybe?

=>kackman73: Opponent's [Cyril] was buffed up by the effect of a [Cristina Vespucci] and and also an [Advanced Training] was played on him.
Edit: Scratch that! Such a blooper. LoL.

=>kackman73: You're absolutely right. What a blooper I've made! LoL. Sorry for the mistake.
So, I've gone back to my design notes and I had justified opponent's [Cyril] stats with the idea that the game was very near its end (that's why both players are almost out of cards) so, the opponent had been playing [Feed the Poor] and [Holy Day] on you, continuously buffing up his [Cyril].
But only recently, you were able to play the [Mosque's Yard] in the Centre region (thinking that you can now stop [Cyril] but forgot the fact that the site's effect also affect your own [Cesare]). And that's the reason why you are in such a pickle that you are in now and thus, the riddle.
Thank you, kackman73 for pointing this out to me, which has made me realise yet another blooper that I've made by forgetting to Photoshop in the "Erased Pile Counter" on the top left section of the board. LoL. I promise to be more thorough in my next attempt.
Thanks.

Heh, no worries. I'm enjoying your riddles, as they're forcing me to learn what cards that I don't own can do. I asked primarily because I figured that I'd missed something somewhere. Thank you for the explanation.

Damn it, I didn't saw that thread and I had posted the Novella catacombs idea already in the 3rd contest. Nice riddle, congratz to the winners.
