I'm bored to tears w/the current meta. I'm sick to death of:
Suleiman and the counter+sites Assassin's Stronghold Piri Reis Silvio (bugged) Holy Day (should they have even "printed" it?)
Don't confuse this as a "holier than thou" post as (with the exception of Silvio) I have different decks that use all of these cards. I'm down for winning within the parameters that UbiSoft establishes, I'm just saying, I'm tired of it right now.
I'll pay attention when they patch the game to see what changes, and I'll be watching for the next expansion, but this seems like a good time to take a break. The upcoming triple-whammy of Guild Wars 2, Borderlands 2 and WoW: MoP are going to cut into my gaming time anyway.
I want to give props to most of you dudes here on the forums for being cool, providing challenges and helping others. I also want to single out Joek for being an awesome player / deck builder, I think the guy is currently the most underrated player in our community.
I'll be back.

I love Holy Day.
But I agree. (Also I just saw that: Thanks.)

I have to agree with the OP. I'm still grinding my 500 credits every day but it is getting harder and harder to finish each day.

I agree with most of what you're saying, but why the hate for Holy Day? It's not the only card that allows an opponent to peer into your hand, and frankly, it's quite necessary to use against those annoying "let's all keep discarding our best cards but oh wait look I didn't actually discard anything" decks.

About Holy Day... I agree that there needs to be a hoser of some sort for the 11's. However, Holy Day is TOO good at it and caused the following problems:
- It's red, and therefore discard decks just universally adopted it as a booster, which makes you question why they made the 11's in the first place. - Red/Blue is enemy #1 and it makes that deck even better than it deserves to be. Knowing someone's hand before you have the resources to counter everything is crazy. It ensures that Suleiman will get your best card. - A lot of times it reads "0g, +2inc, reveal opponent's hand, erase 1 or 2 cards from it." Too much in my opinion!

Solid points. I don't play a red/blue deck, nor do I play a discard deck - I use it as an income booster for my red/green site deck and my Forgotten Temple deck. I hadn't considered how annoying it could be in combination with Yerebatan Cistern, Suleiman, and the other umpteen counter cards.

Same as Kackman here. I guess... If it was really nessecary, I could deal with it being 1 cost or only one income.
It strikes me as a Crime or Scholar card, actually.

Dudes, it's a discard card. Of course it's red.
And I guess they could remove the seeing opponents hand element and just kill 11 cost cards, since this game is digital there wouldn't be cheating.
But overall I have no trouble letting the opponent see my cards. I'm still drawing.

If your deck relies on a card combo that they don't see until its to late, your screwed with that card. No cards should let you see a deck or hand, it's to tough on strategy and deck construction IMO.

Lol, now that I think about it... Losing Faith can R%$# any deck with an alternative win condition.
Juno, Female Fatale, Catacombs
All hope would be lost in those decks

Holy day is a very interesting card. It has HUGE variance. If you catch 1 card with it, you are probably ahead. If you catch 2 cards with it, you have probably won the game if the rest of your deck is worth anything at all. If you didn't get to erase any cards, you spent a card on a mediocre income boost. This won't put you behind, but it certainly won't put you ahead either.
I think the hand reveal is there to make the card WORSE. Why is that? Well, if I play Bitter Farewell and you play holy day at the same time, I can be certain that my Bitter Farewell will resolve first, allowing me to discard 1 of my 11 costers before you can erase it. The reason is that you have to look at my hand before the erasing happens.

BTW I don't use holy day in my discard deck, instead relying on ritual sacrifice for a much stronger card both early (with PP) and late. I need every card to generate card advantage or board presence in that deck, and Holy day only does so rarely.

Although completely besides the point. Faith can counter with the two sites. Scholar always had Espionage. Who else can counter now?
