I just built a pure site deck I thought was going to do ok. It turns out it is extremely good. It is so easy to get a fast win in this meta with some of the new cards like ottoman gunmen and Sofia's office. And the draw power is just unbelievable.
It is undefeated so far. Playing good players too. It just feels a bit... Cheap.
I don't think my deck is very original. I would rather discuss the current balance of sites here. Do you feel sites are too powerful?
I do. Scholar and faith have too good a combo. Draw, counter, influence boosters, deceptive and dominant sites, tutoring of sites etc.

Strongest site at the moment is Stronghold, which makes most agent sites quiver in their boots unless there's Piri out. But yeah once it gets going, the faith site and counter combo is very formidable. My main deck is based on faith counters (even though it only has 8 counters). Overpowered? I'm not sure. The current environment is definitely favouring sites, but I think the good agent decks are still good... Ezio cannot be underestimated. Piri is just running rampant. Odai/Maria are two great discard baits. That said, Gimignano + Hagio Sphia is almost as fast at a win as Pan/RI, but it's not nearly as deadly as Pan/RI was... I guess the game has REALLY changed Everyone has a counter for contingency, it seems.

I think sites were definitely OK (that is, not unfair) before the expansion. They are faster than agents, but limited to one region. I have a slight problem with deceptive sites, since a single deceptive site can win the game alone. However, I haven't been able to build a deck that really abuses this, so I won't say for sure. And then again, me not being able to build a deck is not the proof of anything, lol (Lurifax soundly trashed one version of my deceptive merchant guild deck)

I've seen plenty of deceptive site kills and that doesn't mean you can't win with a single deceptive agent. Or heck you can win with one agent, deceptive or not

Ok so I lost my first game today. Out of like 25-30 with the deck. It actually used the guy that kills influence = 0 sites and the ability to make all sites 0. And PP Piri first turn with counters. It was a hard counter for my deck and VERY specific. Didn't lose without a hard fight though.
Still, I'm beating very good players too easily like this. Either people will have to adopt like the deck above (which would lose to agent decks) or sites are just a little too strong at this level.

Haha was it Kulragis you played against? He is a friend of mine and he told me yesterday, that he wants to build a deck exactly like the one you describe.

LOL. Indeed it was. Lucky that it was actually the site deck I tried against him. I think it would do poorly against agent based decks. But against pure site decks it is really really good.

I have an anti site deck that is mostly Sofia, but I have Abbas and Easy Come, Easy Go sprinkled in there to deal with sites that have abilities.

A great combo. But it takes both cards to be really effective against all site decks.
I had a scholar / media deck when revelations first came out. Used piri and Sofia Sartor. Worked really well against current meta. BUT it lost to agent rush decks. Don't really play it anymore.
If you can make a version also strong against agent decks, it can be really good.

I have a version which is strong against agent decks too. It is pretty slow, but fun to play and wins most games.

This deck is really strong IMO, and fun- although I've been running into a lot of mirror matches. Remember not to play Gather the Faithful as it causes NOOS.
