Announcement: players joining the league, please do this: Send a private message to Tuism with your full decklist before 8am Saturday 11th August (GMT +2 cos I can't be bothered with time conversions ) (refer to point 3 in first post). That means Friday night to be safe for you. If by the time we start your list isn't in, you'll not be allowed in. Thanks guys.

The rules discussion says its not best of 3 this one says it is. Am I missing something? It's just 5 matches right?

Yes, it's just 5 games not 5 x best if 3s. Will update the opening post to reflect. Thanks

I'll be in. Although I have so many decks I have no idea what to play with. Wish I had that problem. I don't have any decks that both fit my play style and are competitive. Curse the current counter/ anti counter meta. Do I run a deck I hate or get my but kicked? I'm leaning towards but kicking.

This forum is pretty anti-counter. I doubt the league will use too many counter decks.

Or everyone could go the opposite direction and go completely counter

If my fun deck was better I would lean towards but kicking myself I am torn too because I want to see how the perceived better decks actually do since it is the first time we will actually have a competitive environment. But I really like my fun decks that shouldn't be that competitive like the one I posted for Juno - Don't Ever Score.

I would urge people to play the deck they think will win the league. Otherwise the point (having a competetive environment) is kinda lost.
Of course it will be unpleasant to see a deck I thought was really good, lose horrible. But that's the beauty of the league structure proposed: Even if a few players lose interest, we can just go on.
I say play your fun decks when grinding 500 or whenever. But use the deck you think is best when playing the tournament.

Tuism: I have not sent a decklist yet because I haven't decided. I am making up my mind on the last 2-4 spots, but haven't tested at all due to family obligations... You will get your list in time By the way, I am ever so slightly dissappointed that you will participate yourself, since we lose our only completely unbiased authority. On the other hand, I completely respect your decision. You are doing us a great service, and I have understand that you want to have fun as well.

Well like I said, I'm not gonna meta everyone's asses by building a deck after reading all the deck lists. In fact I doubt I'll be doing much more than copy paste at the last minute Don't worry and I'm not gonna be eligible to win any way, just having fun

So if per-say, a deck was name "The Ragequitter", it should be the one that gets used.

Well, yes. If nothing else, we can point to tournament results afterwards and tell the developers that something needs to be fixed. If we say "everybody agrees that Suleiman (or Assassin Stronghold or whatever) is too good, but nobody played him/it at the one tournament we had because he/it is boring", they will probably take it much less seriously.

I agree with you Falkinator, but that may be due to we see the league the same way. A way to test the powers of cards and thus high competitive.
Some may be turned off by this. Next tournament/league may be with restrictions for more casual play. I would enjoy this just as much - maybe more.
I think we should stick to the high competitive league. If we find imbalances next round we can make limitations for next league/tournament.
