This is an interesting deck and I wonder, do you often find Ezio Gold as your main winner in league matches (or at least as your main scorer)?

I can't speak for Joe, but I can say, he can get 2-3 out pretty early and start causing trouble... Without Byzantine Church, he would have had a straight 5 wins against me.

Thanks, Tyler! That was my theory but without actually seeing the matches (or participating in the unofficial league for that matter), I can't really know for sure how some cards performed and whether the wins were close or not.

This deck is designed to create massive card advantage via draw/discard and then spam bombs. ALL income sources draw more cards. (Incite Revolt is never actually played.) Sofia's office you know. Bitter Farewell/The Discovery + Incite Revolt = +4 income + Card Advantage Funeral Pyre = +3 income +1 CA Lab research is always handy, even without 11 costs.
After the league, I'll put this up in the competitive section with a wall of text analysis.

Thanks, joek! I use the discard + Incite Revolt combo on my Faith and Scholar decks as well but I was really intrigued with the inclusion of Ezio Gold in your deck that's why I asked the question.
Also, when you created the deck, did you have second thoughts about Gimignano vs. Ox? Or did you know going in that you'll use Gimignano because of the lower cost?

The Ezio Gold came about as a natural alternative to Juan. Nearly all the cards are assassin, I needed strong cheap agents.
Gimignano vs Ox? Easy. I only own gimignano XP

This deck is very strong, the reliance on the 11 costs makes me uneasy, but after testing it myself, the discard component seem to make up for the reliance. It suffers obviously from a holy day opener, also the lack of removal, but it's a rush so it should outrun things needing removal. Not being reliant on surprises and counters is also nice as there are too many anti surprise strats around. I think this is the one to beat tweaking my own version myself
