I only have a couple of cheap decks and haven't built any since the update. Hope you wouldn't mind my boring decks |

They're not boring; just common. So far, I can only defeat deceptive rushes consistently with a Golden deck or another deceptive rush deck.

My experimental deck got torn apart before it could get going.
Nice use of Ezio mentor and ESR.

Nyxeus has been steamrolling that deck with her deceptive rush deck and Nicco/Odai deck. Oh, and it still gets the infamous NOOS error 70% of the time after ESR resolves. |

I imagine that your deck is weak if someone takes out Ezio early. Then you need a new agent and an ESR. Crime media don't have a lot of counters. Still, it is fresh and original. If people don't see it coming, they are in for a surprise when their sites and agents get stolen with surprise speed If deceptive rush kills you, try 5x tactless theatrics. Works like a charm if you draw them early. |

LOL Nyx. I don't hate you. You are one of "the guys". The above was for Kenny. Tips on what to do vs deceptive rush.
I hope you stick around Nyx, even if next patch does solve everything.
Deceptive rush is powerful but can be stopped. Problem is you need some specific cards to do so, which takes away focus from your own deck build.

Actually there are many builds that can beat Deceptive Rush, ALSO, there are many times when deceptive rush doesn't go off. Any little agent removal (especially the surprise ones like tactless theatrics and sudden exhaustion) will mess with deceptive rush, and I think if you're not packing answers, you're probably rushing yourself, in which case you just need to play faster and smarter. The Nico > Odai variety of rushes can still stand up to deceptive. So can Courtesan rush (VERY evil I think). Defender (gold merch decks) surprisingly kill deceptive rush with consistency. And if all fails, half the time Deceptive rush decks fail to get the right start and die anyway. Those are all the games you don't remember cos you didn't know what they were playing |

Thanks everyone, I have been in a dilemma of quitting ACR since the updates and I completely lost the incentive to build anything at all. I really like ACR it's great for causal player like me and is my first card game ... My temporary mentor Victory Bot is the one keep me going with Altaem taking a haitus until the next expansion ... I have 5 each yet I have no deck but I still want to play ...  Sorry for posting unrelated matters here, coolkendude ... |

Nyx, hang in there. I don't like the state of the game currently, but I hope they will improve soon (I'm sure they will). I can show you some of my fun and competitive decks if you need inspiration. I'll try to come to the chat - but there is a big time zone difference. For instance I'm at work now, hence not wanting to play you now |
