Situation: Edited out by tuism: there's apparently a method for getting an auto win. Method shouldn't be broadcast to prevent abuse. Ubi has been made aware of this. Result - you are presented with a victory screen Just did it to like 3 losers in a row. Easy credits thsts for sure. Pete

Geez. This is bad. Now all can know how to bother opponent and get a win out of a loss.
I've played certain players who did this before this message. I assumed it required some haxor skills, but with this all will know how to.

Delete? This is levelling the playing field against those who already exploit it. Don't think they don't.

So are you saying because some exploit it so should all - to level the playing field?

To me this is exploiting a bug, but a bug that can cause lots of grief to opponent. When winning (or just early when game is getting started) having opponent disconnect for a free win is bad sportsmanship. It can take the fun out of the game.
Making aware of a bug is one thing (I can agree in this), but encouraging people to use it is another. I very much disagree about this part!
Yes, Ubi (or Apple?) needs to fix!

Pete, please send a PM to one of the Devs and delete this post. They will see the severity of the exploit without everybody knowing (and using) it.

You take things to lightly We know there are trolls out there and griefers. Giving an OK approval on using this method (from an admin) will only green light using it by more people. But ok, I'll not worry about it now that I've made my point. Let's see if we get more lag quits from now on.

I feel like having fun today. You'll have to complain to one of the other mods to get the post deleted. I'm trolling right now, and wallowing in the sweet sweet karma from you guys.

Haha. Pete the Troll Wasn't asking to delete the post, but wanted a discussion about including information that could be misused. The question mark was for that.

I don't really get it: Why do you get a victory when it's your own connection that causes the disconnect? And: Is it possible that BOTH players got the victory in your examples?

I don't really get it: Why do you get a victory when it's your own connection that causes the disconnect? And: Is it possible that BOTH players got the victory in your examples? Bad programming I think (probably by Apple). It should always give you a loss to the person who disconnected and a win to the opponent. But it doesn't seem to be like this. P2P connections can be difficult to measure though. It is inconsistent if opponent gets a loss. Only experience I've had is vs a (non forum member as far as I can tell) who always did this time out thing deliberately when he lost. Some times I got a loss others a win. But he may have gotten win every time. No matter what I still regard it as cheating to give yourself a win when you don't deserve it - especially now that we have this "competitive" mode.
