So after losing a lot of games , trying to figure out what would work after the latest patch, I've finally come up with a deck that's been doing really well (besides the usual militant rushes and deceptirushes that I encounter about every other game atm).
It is extremly stable, and the only games I've lost so far (besides one time a deception/discard site deck) were against deceptirush decks, which are more a sort of gamble decks imo. If they don't have a good starting hand, they will loose... also against this deck!
It's based on the usual Ottoman Gunmen but with some 7 cost sites added, that will win you the games, and beat a mirrormatch that doesn't deploy the 7 cost cards (which are the real weapons in this deck).
I would've called the deck "lucky number seven", but somebody beat me to that name already
The Build up cards:
5x Ancient Map
5x KiP
5x Sophia's Office
3x Merchant Ship
The Agents:
5x Ottoman Gunman
4x Kadir
The Tools:
5x Engineer's Workroom
3x Millitia Intimidation
1x Fishing Village
1x Venezia, San Polo District
2x Lassitude
The Weapons:
3x Topkapi Palace Gardens
2x With Great Power
3x Abandoned Warehouse
3x Constantinople, Imperial District
You almost never have a bad starting hand and has a very stable build up.
When you have some resources left over, just dump 'm in your Ottomen.
Kadir will let you draw cards like a maniac (I've had countless games where I'd emptied my sequence before the end of the game).
The 7 cost sites will drop your opponents score in a region and give you the extra weight to score in those regions... These guys are really my new BFF's
It is pretty easy and a lot of fun to play. Enjoy
