Since some of us (including me) have discovered just now what crazy things one can do with Incognito and Ancient Library, I'd like to propose a concept deck focusing on Incognito=>Ancient Library=>With Great Power. Unfortunately, I couldn't really test the deck in versus mode but against the AI decks it's a sure win. Income/deck thinning/tutoring: 5 Dama Rossa (for income and early blocking) 5 Ancient Map 5 Knowledge is Power 4 Sofia's Office 2 Political Patronage (can be increased) 5 Quick study Win combo: 5 Incognito 5 With Great Power 5 Ancient Library Support: 4 Ottoman Gunman 5 Militia Intimidation Playbook: Build up income until you can drop Ancient Library (each day scores 3 in each region). As soon as Library has resolved play Incognito making it deceptive (thus scoring 6 in each region each day). While waiting for victory you should play With Great Power as often as possible (thereby scoring 6 in each region with defender). There's not much of a defense and (as with every combo deck) it relies on only a few cards. You can use Ottoman Gunman to boost your Library even further and Militia Intimidation for a surprise Library or Incognito. Your feedback is very much appreciated!

Nice one... I'll try this tonight with a few changes of my own.

I put together a similar deck last night after reading your Incognito thread (to the four people whose Ancient Libraries I bought - you're welcome).
It definitely works well, but the site that removes sites (Venezia, San Polo District?) and Mob Justice absolutely wreck it.
It'd be a lot stronger if I could play Incognito on the Library as it's launching.
Due to card restraints, my version differs from yours a bit (although honestly, given my love of Ottoman Gunmen, I don't know why I didn't include them).
4x Dama Rossa 5x Ancient Map 5x Knowledge Has a Price 2x Political Patronage 5x Secret Door 5x Incognito 5x Laboratory Research (I should probably change these out for Gunmen, but without KiP I thought I needed more draw power) 5x Quick Study 5x With Great Power 4x Hidden Vault 5x Ancient Library
Oh, and when I first made the deck I had Assasin's Libraries instead of Ancient ones. Imagine my confusion when Incognito didn't seem to increase the scoring.

Thanks, kackman, nice variation on the theme. I agree: The combo is fragile because it relies so strongly on Ancient Library. Best is to play Incognito and 1-2 With Great Power in quick succession. And it sucks that Incognito cannot target a launching site. I therefore use Militia Intimidation to make it a surprise at least. All in all, the deck often wins by surprise but can easily be countered if you know what is going on.

I know you guys love Incognito and while it is a very nice card, I fail to see why it is so awesome in this combo with Ancient Library. If you play AL on a site that is already 2 or 3, you also score 5 or 6 points in all other regions. If you play it with Seeking Sanctuary you can launch it immidiatly after launching AL and you don't have to wait until it resolves... Just saying

No, seriously, the difference is that Incognito doesn't add to your influence but doubles it. So you can still raise the influence and still have the new influence doubled. In your version you have either have to play AL on top of other sites (that is: later in the game) or you add +2 by Seeking Sanctuary thus scoring 5 per day. With Incognito you end up with 6 per day and have the above mentioned "x2"-benefit in the long run. However, it's possible that I only rationalize my strong emotions towards this card and your deck would be more reliable.

How is the deck doing? Is it winning a lot or?

How is the deck doing? Is it winning a lot or? Hmm, currently it wins about 6/10 games. It tends to lose against rush decks (too slow to setup), discard decks (all the crucial expensive cards are the first to be discarded) and site heavy decks (those steal Ancient Library's influence). It's a nice concept deck that surprises some players but it's not really competitive, I'd say. My next take will be on an Art Gallery/Ahmet+Incognito deck, lol.

Just saying I love it when people launch Seeking Sanctuary on a resolving site. Then, when I counter the site, I got 2 for 1!

My next take will be on an Art Gallery/Ahmet+Incognito deck, lol. One of the non-forum members got an art gallery and 4 Ahmets in their first ten cards against me yesterday and beat me to a bloody pulp with it. That one that makes your nobles resolve with surprise is great in this deck.

That's the one I'm tweaking atm. There're more targets for Incognito, making it more versatile... Obviously I'd play red/green with discard cards, so not much of the counter cards will be left, once I'd start playing the Ancient Library

May work since it is instant score when deploying or launching.

So...
An opponent that plays Monteriggioni is quite helpful. Poor guy enabled me to win in three seconds after Ancient Library resolved.
