Good idea to use marco B as a countering agent.
Since you may get the advantage of early agents, what about using masyaf site for draw power? You will need to get your income decreasing cards before he gets his income boosting. Since you get income from cheap cost 0 agents, they can make you draw your needed cards, while opponent will struggle to get income.

Maysaf is a great idea.
I wonder why you don't play Ezio Assassin or Maria.

Maysaf is a great idea. I wonder why you don't play Ezio Assassin or Maria. Countering with cheap cards (cost 2 and 4) is better IMHO in a cost reduction deck. Make sure he doesn't get out any cards. Ezio and Maria may be too expensive. BUT some agents that can kill deployed agents or sites IS a good idea as they can serve as card draw for masyaf. Mario, Giovanni, ottoman janirassy and brute are good and cheap. Especially agent killers would be nice to guard against a PP and agent drop first turn (deceptive or thief). Now I can't say which cards to take out

Income kill decks typically can get to 10 and more income while keeping the opponent income down, if successful. If not successful you'd die anyway my deck chose strongholds and high profile assassination for a bit more defensive approach and more income kill consistency, but an offensive one with Maria and ezio is a good idea. Mysyaf with the zero cost buddies is a great idea too, will try it myself

Masyaf is a great idea, thanks!! Ezio effect is not too useful by that point in the game. Maria could be good, but I don't have any. I'm trying to buy some High Profile Assassination too, it looks good.
I thought of site destruction like Antonio, but I've found that a lot of site decks don't have much income generation, so I can shut them down early. It's agent decks that have the most income generation.

Ezio and Maria are both very useful if somehow your opponent managed to drop something that's basically denying your win (any big agent, site, especially a discard drop, deceptive, etc). AND it's a great offensive, but it's been just outclassed by stronghold for sheer brutality, even if it's less flexible I wouldn't underestimate ezio assassin

Oh, I thought you meant Ezio Mentor. I agree, Ezio Assassin is very good. I don't have him, maybe I use Topkapi Palace instead.
Actually, Topkapi may even be better because it is erase, and a site. I often have 6 agents in my HQ.

no offense, but I think you have to be a bit of a d-bag to play any variation of this strategy. I've played Smoochy's version of this deck, and I can't imagine being anything but embarassed to play another human being with it. It takes everything that's annoying about a counter deck, and multiplies it: "not only do I not let the things you do happen, I don't even let you do anything to begin with." I'm all for trying to find ways to win, but let's not forget that this is a GAME, defined by all parties involved trying to have fun, even when they lose.

I just tried it, and it's a bit dull, but more interesting than noos or just timing out.

Previously I played a Piri counter deck so I am like a super d-bag. I blame inferior genetic material.

I think it's no more douchy than counter heavy decks or deceptive rush or whatever. Income reduction has a very slim chance of success compared to other successful strats. It certainly isn't the strongest and building a viable income kill (viable not amazingly sure fire) deck is to me a great challenge

If you want to beat this deck, play a Femme Fatale deck. With all the dama rossas, paolas, fiora cavazzas, etc. Never have income problems again!
