Definitely not a cheap deck.
Pure Income: 5x Dama Rossa 5x Political Patronage
Auxilary Income: 5x Il Colisseo (Scoring, Anti-Site) 5x Knowledge is Power (Draw)
Discarders 5x The Discovery (Income) 5x Laboratory Research (Draw) 5x Niccolo Machiavelli (Agent)
Discardees 4x Mentor's Return (Draw) 4x Incite Revolt (Income) 4x Odai Dunquas (Blocking)
Stand-in Callers 5x Calling all Stand-ins (Late Game)
Optional Cards Hippodrome of Constantinople, Sofia Sartor, Lorenzo, Caterina, Sharing Secrets, Secret Door.
Playing this Sequence is fairly easy. Get NicOdai out ASAP for anti-rush. (Higher Health helps against Fierce Deceptives) Combined with Il Colosseo, they can win games. Drop your Stand-ins for the final push at about 12-18 gold.

I don't think I have ever used Laboratory Research but it works great in this deck. But since Incite revolt now only gives you 1income why not drop it down to 2 and have 5 Odai and 5 Mentor's Return.

Laboratory Research is an awesome card, even without self-discard.
Incite isn't just there for income, even though that's its main use. It serves as something to always be there to discard. I like the income effect. 5 Odai might work, but I only own 4 Mentor's return.
I get that 4 might be a little much, but this deck needs them to bounce all the Labs and Nicos off of.

I wish I had an extra Mentor’s Return to sell you cheap. Even besides the market craziness that card is always really expensive. I ended up just paying a little money on credits to get 5 of them
You’re opening my eyes a little on Laboratory Research. I’ll have to try it more because a lot of my decks use scholar.

It allows you to use stuff like PP, Dama Rossa, and KHAP because you can just use them for Lab fuel late-game.

I haven't played this type of self discard much - I only own 1 mentors return. Maybe I'll invest in some mentors return and give this a go.

Do it. Once you have enough, you can add self-discard to any combo. (Self discard Mercernaries comes to mind)

Just built this according to your spec. Won 7 straight, which is quite a feat for me. I must admit, coping with the constant discard carousel had me a little flustered at times, but this is a really cool deck. Good work, Joek!

Also, now I understand why people would play Discovery and didn't appear to discard anything. I didn't really understand how Incite Revolt worked. What a card!
