+1 Kyleess. Sounds like a satisfying win. Not sure the player wants to be named though as surprise is the strength of his deck. RexSepharim joined the fun by identifying himself in other thread. Respect for seeing it is all in good fun. That different than being named

Meh. Nobody is accusing him of cheating. I don't see it as much different than posting @whoever and saying "your doomsday/forgotten temple deck nearly kicked my ass GG". If you rely on the element of surprise, it is incumbent upon you to have a rotation of decks. If enough people are talking about your deck design that they know who you are without having your name mentioned, you aren't doing that.
I don't think he's a board reader, but he should be. It's a clever deck. It just can't be his only deck. To use an old Tecmo Bowl reference, if you use the same play every time, eventually the defense is going to just pick your play.
Admittedly, it is big of you to protect people's anonymity:)

Good points. I respect that. I did not modd you post to remove the name for same reason. It is different if I posted a name. I have to respect people's privacy as some of my writing may seem like it is ridiculing them. In fact it is not. It is my stupid projections of how people react. But some may not see it that way

I played this guy a few days ago with my "wait for it..." deck. After I killed off his first FT I thought it was GG, but to my surprise he played another 2 after he played a doomsday, which I countered with Scientific Esp. I remember this game very well, because of his weird deck construction. He still had an Anymus Reboot and 3 Doomsday cards and some History glitches in the deck, waiting for me, to use on him.... I know my own deck so well, that it was easy to anticipate what would still come and when to play what card, so I could still manage to get a draw out of it... I think I was having more fun playing his deck, than he, playing mine. And the connection was a bit stuttering, so it must have been a long match for him indeed!

I use Animus Reboots in my FT deck as well - I find them to be rather essential, as I need a way to clear the board when my opponent has managed to get out too many sites or agents. I don't really care that my opponent gets them himself later, unless of course he's given me a deck with only a few scoring memories.

I don't think you are ridiculing people, Luri. Cheese is a legitimate topic of discussion. Everyone has decks that are built on an all-or-nothing premise and everyone gets giggly inside when they win with one or beat one down. I, personally, get a big kick out of the victory stories. And you have made handling them a sort of art. Comedy, perhaps.
I wish I could log into uPlay and make some of my own. Alas, unable to connect....

Just a short update. Played the same guy. Decided that I wanted to play games and not piss him off by playing my anti deck (and leave the iPad for 20 minutes). I wanted to play games afterward as well. So I chose my Cyril deck filled with losing faiths. I get a losing faith in my opening hand and some income boosters. He starts his income boosting. Down comes my losing faith. 2 seconds later he quits long before it even resolves MUAHHAAAHAAAAHAAAAAA Shortest game we ever had.

Ha - nice. I am so glad that I haven't run across a single Losing Faith while using my Forgotten Temple deck.

Played him myself for the first time this morning. He couldn't surprise-fire his Doomsday because of my Piri (playing my Piri/Monteriggioni/Man of the People/Carnivale super-combo deck), but he still managed to get one off and wreck my game. I actually thought he was playing a Juno deck with all of his income boosting and because he waited forever to drop his Forgotten Temple. I think it was because he was trying to draw all of them before firing one off. Anyway, he finally plays it (after a couple of Animus Reboots and History Glitches), and plays a Daring Experiment. I used Quick Study to grab one of his Doomsdays from his deck, played a Militia Intimidation, and surprise-fired his Doomsday right back at him in the hopes I could play to a draw. He discarded about twenty-five cards and the game went out of sync. Best out of sync I've ever gotten.

It's basically asking to have a stalemate. Which reminds me... might as well go post my FT deck now that I'm finally happy with it.

Hehehe. I played him again today. Decided to mess with him, so chose my anti forgotten temple deck. Sure enough he plays it. He is a really smart player, but not enough to stop playing that deck vs me. Ok last few times he tried deceptive rush vs me and failed hard. It's like 7-2 to me.
Anyways, so he starts using doomsday I keep drawing to counter and even copy it and throw it back. This goes on for a while. I have no intention of winning, but want him to think he can. Eventually I empty my deck but I have an incite revolt. He then plays forgotten temple so now I get his few remaining cards. He continues his drawing and doomsdaying me. He deploys an FT (he wants to win one site and deploy another for a slow victory). I deploy one on top of his and another next to it. I just one of mine. He uses his and then fires of an animus reboot. So get my empty deck back, he has like 50 cards in deck. But I can count the forgotten temples in the archive and there can be only one left in his deck. So, I put down my iPad and start a game of Dota 2.
He draws a lot but then some minutes later stops when he realizes he can't win. 20 minutes later he starts drawing again to get the stalemate. All the while I'm playing Dota and laughing.

He made a Dota number? I have to check that out. His Botten Anna was... Eh... Memorable.
