So, I had a good day today. Thanks to the fewer players in automatch, I tend to meet the same players right after another.
This time was against the discard Sacred Vault and put a deceptive site on top of it. I played a fun deck first. Got rocked hard. Very fast the site had become an influence 5 with deceptive and down comes "with great power" for an ultra quick win. I felt violated, and I was thinking my opponent was striking his manly ego after that wooping.
This was a case of SOLITARY LAMOID BUSTER!
We meet again, and this time, I knew what to bring. I chose my Site Destruction deck (see it here: acreedrecollection.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=comp&action=display&thread=2182). This time, his speed was not as good. Down came 2 deceptive sites one by one stacked on each other to make it 2 influence. He had seen my hand so knew of no danger to sites as I drew no Rossi on opening hand, but got him after 2nd forced charity.
Just as he thought he was about to score, came ROSSI and took out his deceptive site and my 3 income sites (and giving 3 score for each eliminated). I continued to build up my income and sure enough, stronger deceptive sites were set up, but lo and behold, down came Forum of The OX followed by Ezio mentor. It appeared as if I missed my target, since it was deployed besides the deceptive site. Sure enough the deceptive site was buffed to five and down came "with great power". Oh how my opponents manly ego must have been swollen with joy! He came back and he was going to win right there!
Ahh, but just before he was going to score and take home the victory, down came another surprise Rossi to remove all sites yet again. BANG. The sound of manlyhood being deflated. With no sites "with great power" felt like with without great power (comes deflated lamoid ego)... Oh, Ezio brought his friend from a fiesta. The Spaniard came down as a surprise to help with the feast of the remains of the ruins of the deceptive discard vault. It never came to a campaigning win. My opponent left, hopefully thinking about what went wrong with this sure win button. "It must be something with the game mechanics. Something more IMBA than his deck!" Omg, what horror it must have been sitting there with a deflated manlyhood...
P.s. If these reports are crossing the line or really really lame, let me know and I'll stop. But I'm having just as much fun writing these than playing the games - and I desperately want this site and the game to live on.
