Have any of you guys played the new card game Android Netrunner? I think that it is an excellent game and one of the best card games out there.

I JUST BOUGHT IT YESTERDAY AND AM LOVING IT despite not having someone to play with today.
I LOVE the asymmetrical premise, it's so brilliant yet so balanced (except for Scorched Earth, I don't really think that one's fair - or at least promotes pretty boring play).
I know it was designed by MTG creator Richard Garfield himself too, which is just brilliant considering HOW DIFFERENT it is from every other MTG-like card game (ACR is great but very MTG-like).
The concept of the Living Card Games is brilliant, except I now don't know how to get more copies of cards I don't have 3 of. Trading? Buying single? Another box (omg)?

It's a physical card game, but not in boosters, but bought as a core set of 200 something cards. The basic premise is that there're two players, one corporation and one hacker, called runner. The runner tries to hack into the corps, and the corp tries to kill the runner or nefariously attain hidden agendas. The two sides play VERY differently, but basically both build decks of minimum 45 cards, max of 3 copies per card (depending on the identity you play). Here's the official site: www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_minisite.asp?eidm=207It's really really good

Played it last week over lunch. Loved the asymmetry. Just the one game but it left me wanting more.
The box it comes in is ridiculously huge and oversized for the 2 decks of cards it contains. Though I imagine it will come in handy several LCG expansions later. (I agree that LCG model is a great way to introduce new cards without the CCG rarity nonsense.)

I know that was my first thought too, why the heck is it a big box game but once I get into deck construction I'll be able to carry it in deck boxes. It is also nice to keep my citadels and coloretto and other games in the same box, kinda LCG concept is very cool. Now I'm just bummed about getting 1 more copies of a few cards, dunno how to go about that

Buy 3 core sets to own 3x cards. I think I'll try and get someone else who wants to play and get another core set to split for at least 3 of scorched earth each, then decide if we need yet another... The LCG format is cool but this is also silly. Maybe I'll print my own proxies.
