Iron, ok. Welcome back to the game! I'll give people the choice to name themselves if I do the lamoid report. But won't in this case after all. Too short and I did a report vs the discard deceptive site rush. I was surprised to see you play that deck. Maybe this deck is cheese, but haven't played against it so hard to tell. So a light Gouda cheese perhaps? Nothing like the Rocheforte (spelling) cheese that really smell bad (in my book) like surprise doomsday and then FT or courtesans or deceptive rush or Piri counter combo. In my main deck I now have 4x scientific espionage. I find them really useful in many games. Like when you meet a ritual sacrifice. EDIT: added courtesan decks. These are the worst. Was reminded about how boring it is to play vs them today. I figured I'd continue the discussion over here instead of bogarting Rob's cool new deck thread. I have been playing the deceptive sites since the expansion came out. I am always ever tweaking my decks but the concepts are still the same. I don't think anyone ever really even looked at it back then. acreedrecollection.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=fun&action=display&thread=1642I like your lamoid reports and think they are funny. But I like some of the new decks people were playing even though it's can be painful to play against. To each their own, what's lame to you may not be to me. My own personal hatred now is the stealing cards like Ritual Sacrifice, Secret Catacombs, Pick Your Poison, etc.. (I think that will be my next deck to work on is just to steal everything the opponent has) With as sad a shape as the game is in I hope though we aren't discouraging some of those players from joining or participating more here. They definitely put a lot of thought and work into their decks to get it to work effectively. Some of those game can turn into solitaire but at the same time I am not interested in playing a game to see who can get down their Auguste Oberlin down first.

Sorry if I offended you, Iron. My statement about cheese decks was not targeted you. And you are right about objectivity of what is lame. I may be very vocal on my opinion.
But I tend to write with a hint of sarcasm and occasional ranting.
The deck I saw you play (just by looking at your hand with holy day), looked like a standard that I've seen played many times. Your deck looks a bit more original in the post, but it had evolved.
I may be hard on some deck types, but the problem is the design (deceptive too cheap and easy, courtesans FF stupid by design, doomsday too cheap etc.). I want Ubi to balance some of these cards and how are they going to get that feedback if we don't discuss it here?
I'm not sure if the rants and the lamoid reports keep people away. It seems like they get people to write and discuss. At least it generated some activity in the threads. I do hope that some people will think about the decks and balance and what is viewed as fun.
People that purely play to win and will play any deck that is most powerful care less about what others think about their play style. They are in it to win. Since I play mainly for fun (yes, I also play to win but not by playing the most (over)powerful out there), I like to take back the playfulness and fun into the game and the lamoids reports do that. It makes fun of myself and my own silly ideas of how this power gamer reacts. It reflects me more than anything. But for the reason of some may be offended I don't show names.
And no, I do not think you are lame or you abuse. As I wrote in other thread, I was surprised you would play that deck against me. I tend to play less cheese (in my view) against other forum members. I know you also play some great decks and we have meet before with good battles (no cheese). Objectivity...

Lurifaxb. I know you didn't mean to offend me and you didn't. I realize now it looks like I was. I just wanted to continue the conversation in different thread that I thought was interesting. I like seeing different opinions especially when it doesn't turn into an unintelligent argument.
I am all for getting more traffic in here and in the game. Your reports seem to be doing that. I was trying to think of anything to get more people back since the connections are better. However recently I have to wait longer and longer to find opponents.
Lately I can't think of new ideas for decks. I end up using the same old decks. I would love to see some of the deck lists I see newer people playing. The last “new” one I tried to make turned into a Doomsday/Impending Pandemic deck.
Sorry for delayed response taking a vacation in a hurricane was incredibly bad timing.

No worries, Iron. I'm cool and I agree with what you write.
You should listen to Kenny. Stay safe in the hurricane!
