Ok well an update since I asked mark if he was still around: -------------------- Hello Pete, Sorry I wasn’t able to keep you up to date but, as I already told Steven, we have been asked a few months ago to stop communicating directly with the community… I’m actually working on a different project right now. I hope all is well with you. It was a pleasure to have you on board with the game. Marc ----------------- So I guess thats the end of any chance of updates to the game. That's very unfortunate.

I wonder why they decide not to communicate with the community instead of just telling us (the customers!) that they have stopped active development of the game. My customers would be sooo pissed of if I decided to pull the plug and not tell them...
I wonder if I could get the rights to this game and continue development, but I guess that's too much to ask for as well. Yeah, open-source AC Recollection. That would just be fantastic!

As for Recollection, I guess we were just the guinea pigs for Duels of Champions M&M. They even had their first world championships!
I guess there is simply way more money to be made with turn-based fantasy bull... on PC than a gem like Recollection in iPad...

Yea , thats what i feel too. Its a shame as ACR is far superior imo.
Pretty sad tbh, if they would revert the game to how it was at the beginning , 1st balance changes maybe id still play..
I think they may have made a bad move by releasing the market so early in ACR, youll see MMDOC dont have any intentions of a market its good for them to make money , but i wont be putting any money into any ubisoft game, not after this performance.

A shame indeed. I still can't help but wonder what was in that second expansion.
I'm also surprised that the theme of AC world is a strike against it. Assassin's Creed games are hugely popular and the world stands out nicely in a sea of repetitive monsters and magic...
<shakes head> I just don't get it. The real time aspect makes everything else look inelegant.

I think that the game was quite buggy connection wise so despite it being good, no one could play it reliably. Then when no one played, management saw that it wasnt making $ and decided to pull the plug, rather than fix the underlying issue as to why it wasnt making money. They had a second tcg on the horizon, doc, so it was logical to axe this and use that, in the mind of the decision makers.
Its quite sad, but I also see that DOC was released on ipad yesterday (at least in my region). There are no reviews yet so I will wait and see what the general population think. I am also of the opinion that UBI have let customers down several times and nothing seems to happen. Amazingly Shadow Era, from Wulven has shown to have the most dev input and community engagement, and has continued for 2 years now.
It does make me very wary about spending any more money with Ubi as a company.

I just checked the pricing also and DOC is not a cheap thing, so maybe will skip that. Are there no other good tcg's around?

I will most definitely not jump in on DOC. Don't like the setting or the game mechanics. Too bad for Ubisoft I guess...

Been away for a while (sorry for not supporting the tournament). Stopped playing regularly for some weeks now. Realized that the game was going nowhere without support. Lost the interest in playing regularly.
I Didn't miss playing during this break. But found some fun in a couple of casual games lately. It's just not the same when you know it isn't going anywhere or evolving.
And no, I won't spend money on a Ubi TCG anytime soon. The long period with worst support I remember in any game and no communication whatsoever showed what kind of company they run. Such a shame. They have the best concept for a TCG I've ever seen, but they blew it.
If someone could get the license for the mechanics and make it community driven that would be great.
That SE seems to be doing so well and ACR is not, shows the importance of community management and game support. Especially when ACR is a much better game...

Well, game mechanics are copyable (as evidenced by numerous clones of anything remotely popular), so an enterprising group of devs could create a game with similar mechanics (and feels less skeevy to clone a game being abandoned). But the AC universe is another matter entirely. It's a marquis brand for Ubi. Have they ever licensed it to a third party before? Wonder how many new (paying) players it would take to convince Ubi to continue supporting the game?

I think DOC is ok, the way they made it so you pretty much have to spend cash to get the expansion has put me off though. As I can only play a few games a day there's no scope for me to grind really.
With ACR though, it may not be the end, is there any chance ubi might pick it up again in the future depending on DOC's success and do a multipolar form release?

You could ignore the AC universe and just use real people in all of history. Some cards may overlap like Leonardo but it would also open it up even more without being tied down to licenses from UBI. You could end up with cards like Genghis Kahn, Cleopatra, or Alexander the Great As far as this 2nd league goes is it still on? If so I can submit my deck list later tonight.

Hey ya all!
I've only got 4 players who said they wanted to participate and so far only received two deck-lists.
I guess it's not the season or everybody is already overloaded with credits...
Anyway I'll put this one on hold. Kind of Ubi style...
May start something new. Starter deck only to attract new players. And with 10k for the winner this must be attractive to new players. What do you think?
