Hi,
I discovered this game about a week ago and I love it! I've been playing the story mode buying templar packs as I go, and its been a blast. However, I can't seem to find a multiplayer game. I tried the "casual", but after waiting for an hour nothing happened (BTW, do you animus coins for playing casual?). I've been trying competitive games, and those also have a very long wait. I did manage to get ine competitive match to start, but as expected got crushed by a real deck.
Is this game dead? I really like the game, but I don't want to invest a lot of money/time into this game if there is nothing to do after beating the story. Also, once I beat the story is there any way to earn coins if I can't find multiplayer matches?
Thanks,
diablo5536

Hello!
Casual is basically empty. If you play enough Competitive, bad decks do show up.
Once Story Mode is complete, a set of Challenge missions with five repeats each are unlocked. Credits can be earned that way. The 2.99 expansion opens up the Ottoman Empire Story and Challenge missions.
It's nice to see new players coming in!

Welcome, love having new players. I don't think the game is dead just not as busy as it used to be. I think in the current state UBI just seems to be happy leaving it the way it is. Joek is absolutely right casual is empty, I dont think anyone really ever used it. Also as he said the challange missions and expansion are the only way to get credits besides spending money or multiplayer.
Sometimes I notice my finding opponent seems to get stuck doing nothing, and have to hit cancel and try again and it finds a match pretty quickly. If you are getting crushed and looking for help or suggestions you can post your deck and everyone here is very helpful to give you tips and advice on it.

The game is technically not dead - I would say just stagnant because we're no longer getting any updates from the original dev team. Knowing what we know now, my advise is to just spend the 2.99 on getting the expansion campaign but don't spend money on getting animus credits until we hear from Ubi that there's another expansion coming. Just keep on grinding daily to get your 500. Also, you might not see a lot of players in PvP due to the holidays but there's still definitely a core of about 1,000 players that are still in the seasonal leader boards.

Hi everybody! Another newcomer here. =) I and my GF discovered this game a couple of weeks ago and we totally fell in love with it! We spend evenings playing matches vs each other, but I'm still a little reluctant of going for a real challenge and enter competitive mode. I have some questions that I would appreciate having answers to: 1. What is the current state of this game? Are there many constant players now? Is it possible to find a match online? 2. Are there any new expansions coming? AC3-themed, perhaps? How much support from the devs is the game getting now? 3. I checked the market yesterday and found that I can buy many assassins cards (even rares) for reasonable prices, rather than spending 900 creds for a pack. Do you think it is more rewarding to shop for cards in the market rather than buying packs? Thanks in advance, glad to be a part of this community now! =) P.S. When I registered, the captcha asked me to type the following: "that hurts". That was a little creepy, did I do everything right?.. =)

You're the first new post after a week of inactivity on this board. I tried to answer your questions below as best as I could and I'm sure other members of this board would give their $0.02 as well. Oh, and welcome to both you and your GF! 1. What is the current state of this game? Are there many constant players now? Is it possible to find a match online? As far as I know there are about 1,000 players that are regulars based on the historical seasonal leader boards. And yes, it's possible to find a match online but depending on where you are located, you'll have to figure out what time it's best to play. I'm located in the US and my observation is that people are available to play between 7pm and 10pm (Eastern) on weekdays and pretty much the whole day on weekends.2. Are there any new expansions coming? AC3-themed, perhaps? How much support from the devs is the game getting now? Unfortunately, the last news we've heard is that devs have moved on to other programs - so no new expansions coming up. My personal opinion is that they're waiting to see if more players join before they decide anything in terms of expansion - mods, please correct me if you've heard otherwise.3. I checked the market yesterday and found that I can buy many assassins cards (even rares) for reasonable prices, rather than spending 900 creds for a pack. Do you think it is more rewarding to shop for cards in the market rather than buying packs? Yes, definitely go for the Assassin rares in the market if they're much lower than 900 credits (some may say go for it if it's only less than 500 credits due to possibly getting Assassin rares from Mixed packs - but that's your call).

Welcome theknavey!
Coolkendude fielded most of your questions, but I'll chime in with my two cents.
If you and your gf are enjoying the game, then keep playing! I think ACR is brilliant game. There's loads of great information on this site. Read through the academy section and you will pick up many subtle tips.
The funds I spent were to support a game I enjoy as it currently exists and not in hope of future expansions. It was fun to slowly build up a complete collection (in fact completing a playset x5) felt like completing the game.
For online matches, skip casual and dive right into competitive. I never worried about my ranking and casual was empty last time I tried. Have fun and hope to see you on the

Wow, thank you for your responses coolkendude and matavious!
I've read many beginner articles on this forum long before registering, but haven't studied the Academy section thoroughly yet. Which I'm definitely planning to do in the coming days. =)
I tend to be consistent in my games, e.g. I didn't buy any Revelations-themed packs before I finished the main story campaign and the challenges. Now I'm going through the Expansion story campaign and trying to get the right feel of all the new properties like Dominant, Deceptive, etc. I guess I'll go for the Competitive Mode and for investing real money only after I finish all expansion missions and challenges. Let me know if this is a good plan in your opinion, all tips from experienced players are much appreciated. =)
I'm located in GMT +4, so I guess connecting with US players can be a problem during weekdays, but I guess there are some players from EU around, to
