I managed to open some of these, so a few days ago I started playing a mostly gold site deck containing this card. The deck is still evolving so I don't want to post it yet, but so far it has been a blast.
I've had a surprising number of come from behind wins. Not the kind I planned for either, but more of this kind: "I'm losing... I'm losing... I'll wait for the day to end... oh wait, I can win!"

Two kind of decks like this one are possible. One in Scholar, with Leonardo's Workshop and a big draw power. And one with Merchants Guild and ressource boosters. Both are fast and strong. They can have explosive starting hands and win in a few days like RI/Panth. Their main issue is that they are vulnerable to counters. And right now, it's not a very good idea to build a deck with this weakness. Even with the Engineers Workroom, you will need too much time to setup the win condition. They have potential anyway. And maybe they can be added to a rush, or a discard to secure the win. But so far, I haven't seen one.

I think my standards are lower than yours. If I can beat a 50/50 win ratio I think I have a good deck. Plus I won CrazyGambit playing a discard deck (lots of luck on my side, of course), which made my day.

I'm unhappy under 90%. I can accept less if I faced good excuses. Like really improbable hands, lag, my own mistakes, etc. If I lose to a bad deck, I usually end up changing a lot of things in the list.

I remembering playing against one and accidentally killing myself by playing a stolen nothing ventured at the wrong time (when I had my own stolen merchant guild out)
The guild itself is very vulnerable, but all the resource boosters are surprises so once that's out it can win surprisingly consistently. I tried building a deck combining Leo's workshop's draw to win and merch guild's gold to win... I dunno, still not awesome.

I thought so if I didn't play the ventured I woulda won haha was a gg I was experimenting with that deck. Been struggling with it... First it was an ezio de fireze deck, then it became a discard deck, now I'm not sure what it is cards evolve themselves...

I like knowledge has a price with it (In addition to 5x Forced Inheritance). San Grimiano and this is pretty much instant win.

San gmignano or monterigionni? I saw you guys play too much pull a monterigionni into this deck and it sounds amazing in theory, but I don't really have space for it in my version of the merch guild deck...

San Grimiano or another Merchant's Guild. Forced Inheritance and Knowledge has a Price are already surprises. I like to play the Merchant's Guild in a region my oponent has scored in. It'll go back to zero in no time.

Not sure if this is a bug, but -income reduces the score in the region where the merchant's guild is e.g. when opponent's Corrupt Herald scores, you lose 1 influence in the region.
Not sure if cards like collateral damage/brilliant burglery works (suspect they do).
If this is intended, the text of the card needs to be updated.

Oh wow, that's so weird that it would do that. I'll update that into the bug thread.

I have noticed several bugs with this card. Someone gets two of them out, and with 0 in both zones, and then plays one card and has ten in both. It has happened to me 4 times now.
