Havent seen too many faith/order combos with Cesare Borgia, so i created this evil counter thing and the win rate is just sick... Im not as experienced as most of u here, so i wanted to post the deck so i could possibly get some feedback from the "pro's". Gold: 5 Plentiful Crop 3 Tactical Upheaval Faith: 3 Divine Intervention (only have 3) 5 Answered Prayers 5 Ritual Sacrifice 2 Ancestral Discovery 5 Silvio Barbagio Order: 5 By Order of the King 2 Faux Pas 5 Forced Inheritance 2 Royal intervention 3 Preemptive Strike 5 Cesare Borgia Usually i build income really fast at the same time i'm bleeding my opponent for cards. I can early get a nice overview of my opponents hand through Answered Prayer. I can also steal nasty cards with Ritual Savrifice. The only deck i lost against was another faith/order deck Feel free to test the synergies etc. Any feedback is welcome Varfjell

Whoa!! Just been at the prickly end of this one for, what was that, 5 games in a row? Are we the only 2 online in the world at the moment?! Evil discarding... Not much fun to play against seeing as you have all my cards by day 2 Have fun tho! (at least I won 1 time when I guess you didn't draw the reds you needed!)

Yea its evil and probably extremely annoying to play against In MTGO i never really played any counter decks, but somehow i love this one. Seems vulnerable to a site deck like yours though. Probably needs quite some finetuning...

Hehe. Dunno about vulnerable tho m8 - you were only unlucky once. I would need to water the speed of mine down with court orders to get around you to the point it wouldn't work any more I think. ...but I have another idea, so if we meet again you better watch out

I've been deliberately avoiding pairing discard with counters... I have a discard in almost every other variety It's very powerful, to be sure. But I'm more keen to be building less samey decks these days. If you're really gunning for it you should toss in a few sudden exhausts, they pair with upheaval to kill anything and is instant nerf for any cesares As cesares are imba, having them as the only agents mean they'll draw sudden exhausts and other anti agent surprises like a magnet. If you can find alternative win cons you'll create dead card in you opponents hand. But it's not really an issue since its Cesare and not, say, ezio Firenze (what I tried to build)

I'm not sure about about Silvio in this deck.

Agreed. Unless you're going for a heavy wipe (wrath, reboot) flavour, Silvio is very slow for his damage output.

Ive been testing this deck out for a while now, I find that devout citizens works much better than silvio, every game i play i can achieve a discard lock pretty early, as soon as the day line loops to the other side, activate the ability so when they draw they have to discard.

Hey Krayvyn + Varfjell, welcome to the forum, I dislike you peeps that discard lock me to the death lol, I only dislike it so much because I dont have the cards to do it back Regarding the citizens can I point you towards this post created by the game director where he has mentioned several cards that will get adjusted to balance the game (citizens is one of them): acreedrecollection.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=bugs&action=display&thread=303might be worth you putting your point accross to try and save that card :-) again, welcome to the forums.

Lol devout citizen is way broken. I have all the cards for discard decks but I choose NOT to play citizens The proposed change is awesome I love it

I don't think the changes they are proposing is a good idea, Lanz costing 5 is to much, they are increasing the cost by 66%, that is just wrong, yes he's strong but he doesn't constantly win games, he's easy to deal with and he doesn't make the game broken. Devout citizens proposed change can be a good idea, but (there's always one) when they release the revelations expansion I would imagine they will institute new abilities, how about an ability that stops the opponents abilities unless they pay an extra 2g or something like that. They used that in MTG and other CCG's so instead of revamping a card, produce a counter effect to it. It would make the game more interesting. My 2 cents

Ritual Sacrifice isn't great unless you abuse it in the same way as Answered Prayers (which is a function many people here don't agree with). I agree that Silvio is a waste in this deck, and you're better off running no more than 1 or 2 of him and adding some benvenuto. A discard deck usually makes use of their opponent's best cards retrieved from the archive rather than stocking a lot of beaters on their own.
