Hey,
Once again I won't propose just another variation around the current classic themes like RI/Pantheon, Vaticano decks, Animus control etc. I'd like to stay creative and propose only highly original sequenced here.
This deck is not perfect, and sensible to counters (and that makes him non-competitive until the meta shifts toward something different). But it proposes some very strong synergies and it's really fun to play it.
5 Basilica Di San Pietro
1 Venezia*
3 Il Colosseo
The sites are pretty clear in what I want them to achieve.
5 Political Patronage
2 Divine Interventions
1 Power to the people*
1 Tactical Upheaval*
2 Judgment Day
2 Sudden Exhaustion*
5 Clothes make the Man #
2 Familly Heirloom*
5 Ancestral Discoveries #
4 Let he who is without sin
4 Papal Influence
1 Copycat #
1 Condotiero Tactics*
5 Wrath of the Righteous
1 Wanted Posters
Most of the cards are pretty clear again in what they are supposed to do, so I'll spik their explanations to go into the two main synergies marked with a * and a #.
* : the HSE - the idea is to have a single good solution picked in the golden cards pool, to use it again and again with the ADE and to search for it with the Heirloom. That's the Heirloom Solution Engine.
# : the ADE - if you cast Ancestral Discoveries you can copy it with Clothes makes the man, pick a card in the archive of your choice (certainly a card from the HSE) and pick the Clothes as the second card to do it again for only 2 ressources. It's a loop. That's the Ancestral Discoveries Engine.
Once you got the HSE and the ADE together, you can do whatever you want with the game. You can play a Papal Influence again and again, draw cards with Tactics, make him play with no cards in hand, etc. The discard side of the deck should help you against counterspell cards, but it still should be its main weakness. Scientific Espionnage can be a pain. If you have any idea to help the deck against them, please, contribute to the thread.
I'm sure the deck is perfectible by a lot and that may come from participations in this thread. So please, post your ideas, test the deck, and enjoy!
