Just to add to this if it helps anyone, I have suffered with a rough online experience since I started playing. Following the lead from above I looked around to see if I could improve my signal. First I installed TCP optimizer from the Pushfix repo, rebooted, used Net Master to see where my best point was with regards to placing my router (and phone for tethering). With these 2 changes I saw a little improvement but nothing you would call a success. Then I changed how I tether my iPad to my iPhone. Instead of tethering with bluetooth, I used wifi and the ping dropped by 500%. Played a few games tethered just fine last night although my router connection is now the dodgy one I can at least use my iPhones 3G to play.

I assume you got net master from cydia.xsellize.com, which I personally dont trust.

Interesting. I will probably stick with nice trace and inet.

I Was interested in your Bluetooth problem, and since I have mywi on my iPhone and iPad, I teathered via Bluetooth to the iPhone while monitoring my trace routes from the iPad. I noticed the same problem with ping times becoming unusable, however turning off the wifi antenna on both the iPhone and iPad restored service somewhat. Changing to wifi resolved the issue completely for me also.

So yesterday my connection was all cool and I was playing quite a few games.
Today the same connection is not giving me any games... Constant stutter, out of sync errors... I didn't move anything but something seems to have changed, or is the Ubi server giving everyone hassles too?
I have ran nice trace and everything looks the same as it was yesterday...
I'm chalking this down to damn 8ta, going to subscribe to mtn's 3G tomorrow, can't stand this.... Argh.

You must also check your upload speed.

Hmmmm... Ok so speediest.net is reporting poor upload speed, or inconsistent, has spikes and flatlines. Nice trace is reporting decent ping still.
Recollection is refusing to connect to uplay, seems either bugged or just down...
How do I fix a poor upload speed? Move the 3G modem around? Or er, get a new service provider?
