So I thought I had a cool idea for a deck, but I noticed just now that Brontobeuf already had a deck on the same concept called The Butcher Deck. I've only been playing this game for 2,5 weeks now, and wasn't aware of the discussions on the TouchArcade forum. I still wanted to post this deck here, to make people aware of this concept, since I've had an amazing amount of success with it, and haven't encountered it yet online. In an ideal situation I have 2 Il Carnefice out before the second day starts (had it 1 time already), but most of the time 1 can be out by then. Otherwise I wait until after a reboot to start the combo (use Exit Stage Right on a sacrificable agent to get out Il Carnefice). I still don't have all the cards I'd like to have in there, but here's my current version: Combo: 4x Exit Stage Right (should be 5) 3x Ill Carnefice (more is overkill, less is not enough) Resources: 3x Political Patronage (should be 5) 5x Forced Inheritance Sacrificables: 5x A Call to Action 3x Calling all Stand-Ins (should be 5) 2x Carnevale (instead of extra Stand-Ins) Control: 5x Court Order 3x Preemptive Strike 4x Animus Reboot Fun: 5x Clothes make the Man 5x Auxiliary Ego 3x Copy Cat (Can go to exchange with Exit Stage and PP) The nice thing about this deck is that you can also win by copying fatties of your opponent with the fun cards or by playing Carnevale after Animus Reboot and just overwhelm him. Any remarks and/or ideas are welcome...

Very nice deck! During our games I was shocked how fast Il Carnefices came out (smart having them be the only true agent cards).
I was going to say that the small number of threats makes them vulnerable to sudden exhaust, but then I realized that copying them alleviates that weakness.

Dies to most discard decks, but otherwise fun tricks. CopyCat is weak and should be dumped. It does something interesting less than 50% of the time.
I am discovering that Carnivale is equally powerful to calling all Stand-Ins, perhaps more. A lot of removal is designed for single targets, and Carnivale simply overwhelms that. Sudden Exhaust is pretty useless against Carnivale, and its presently the most popular "removal" card.

Well this is a deck , where everything most work good together, and otherwise it does nothing. I saw a variant wich was quit nice: -It featured Cesare instead of Carnefice and also some By order of the King. *With ressources you could play him quit good normally. -It had San Gminagno as a headstart, or if enemy has packed to much anti agent stuff.

@setzer, I remember our games... Il Carnefice did come out really fast indeed Apparently I kept drawing the right cards last night, because I've played about 8 games just now, and I won only 2. Order, with Cesare, keeps kicking my butt, because it has enough counters and can block Il Carnefice (officials)... The Rancord is right: If you cannot draw the combo fast enough, it doesn't work. It gets countered too easy, when the opponent has build up enough resources. What does work then is playing Auxiliary Ego on fatties of the opponent... But then it turns into your standard game, where you are on the backfoot because you copy your opponent. I have encountered 1 discard deck against this deck, but that time his Divine Intervention picked out the highest card, which is not part of this combo. By the time I had to discard a Preemptive Strike my Exit Stage Right was just played... Easy win! Again, you do need to have the combo in your hand with at least one resource card Anyway, I'll see if I can tweak it a bit more to make it work more efficient (if possible). See you online soon

I was playing Royal Intervention in mine. Because I got a lot of ressources to burn, and it's quite good to win with a single Carnefice Attack. The concept is fun, and strong. It was great to play it, but I stopped because of counters on ESR and discard or thieves decks which all crush this one.

I've been playing some more with this deck, and ESR is indeed the weak link in this deck! Since I've posted it here, I've been losing almost every single game with this deck HAHAHA Now I'm back to playing my Lantz/Counter deck to reach 500 credits a day

Like Pietro Rossi

If the enemy has a good deck and palys good, then counters are not boring and very challeging. Counter decks are boring agianst weak decks, since you need to wait till you can win and they cannot do anything. Also I find counter/Lanz=evil kinda silly If you find the secret formula for ure discard deck and every game, they would be the new evil and boring deck *The same discussion like in every TCG actually. As long as a deck is fresh and wins, its really cool, once everyone jumps on the train, it is boring and 0-skill *

I made a similar deck, but threw in Monteriggioni to make Exit Stage Right uncounterable.

... Wont Monteriggioni slow down the concept too much? The idea is to be able to have the first Il Carnefice out on the table already on day 1.
