This has all been really interesting to read. What is most interesting is the comments about media being crippled without the card. My militant rush decks have done fine without it...but I guess you all are talking about other people in the top ranks of this game? I'm right around 504-508, so maybe I'm not facing more competitive decks yet (not sure how matchmaking is set up). Or I've just gotten lucky...I dunno. I do know that today has been REALLY shitty...like losing every game I play to really strong decks (I think so far I've only won one...the other 2 have been people who quit before the game started). But anyway...I haven't really thought as much about what cards make certain colors worthwhile in a deck. I have thought a lot about what each color's utility is (red is discard, green is card advantage, etc). Black is probably the only one I've thought much about in terms of needed cards because it's mostly assassin memories. Maybe thinking about that more will help my deck building. I'ma bit bored with what I'm using now and have tried to figure out something new, but to no avail. I don't really have any kind of intelligent comment at the moment, though, because it's been a busy day and my brain is a bit dead, lol. I'm gonna read this again later when I'm a bit more with it so I can make more of the comments, because I can at least tell that the advise is valuable. And Tuism, I alwaays love your comments because you are so blunt but make so much freaking sense it's ridiculous.

Tuism got a fan!!
Joke aside, there is no matchmaking system right now. It's pure random. Why don't you share your deck lists with us? We can maybe give good advices to improve them! :]

It's basically my Magnetic Antonio and Noble/Official deck that I still mostly go with. Those are the only two that have offered any kind of win consistency. But today even those didn't seem to do any good. Every starting hand I was getting was almost always starting with my 2 cost cards in both decks. Which neither deck has a hard time with gaining enough income. It was just a bad starting hand day for me, I guess. On top of going up against good decks.

PP is sorta like a "combo with any card" early game. which is why a lot of people like it. an opponent without PP cannot counter your early "surprise" sure it can be useless if you draw it mid/late game. but the uber early boost is totally worth it

It's like a Dark Ritual in Magic. It has never been an issue in this game. It's not a Black Lotus because the lotus can be played in all decks, but in 1 copy while PP can be played in 5 copies only in media decks. Whatever... It's good for the balance that such a strong quick card exist. It's what makes the meta unstable. If you build a slow deck in Crime/Scholar with a lot of card advantage, you know that you will have no early game at all... slow as hell spending days to pay Knowledge is Power and Forced Charity. You will have ressources to play Mario, Scientific Espionnage etc and win the game against a lot of decks around. This kind of deck would certainly be the strongest if it was not possible to drop a lucky Doomsday on their hand on day one (possible with 1 PP only) or a rush of agents with PP. If the game doesn't have strong early game key cards, all the best strategies would be to play the end game only with the strongest card advantage possible. PP is in fact a necessity.

Try getting a PP/Doomsday followed by 2 Divine Interventions and an Ancestral Discovery in the first few days. That was one of my first encounters with PP and while that scenario may have been pure luck for my opponent, I think that makes it understandable why I wouldn't like the card.

Play him 10 more times, and that won't happen once more

Yeah, I know card draw is random. It still gave me a negative vieew of this card. Also when used with the crime memory I mentioned above reinforced the negativity. But oh well.
