Hi
So I decided to perfect a concept I was working on that allows me to include 2/3 copies of certain cards, and still ensure I get them drawn from the deck. 50 cards is a large number, so relying on 2 cards coming up out of luck isnt going to cut it.
Unfortunately I don't own 5 copies of every card, so the below deck could be tweaked better, but as it stands it gets the magic "90% win rate" we spoke about on a different thread.
Here is the card list:
5 Roman Temple Ruins (Site Pay 1 - 1/1/+1)
4 Heathen Follower (Agent Pay 1 - 0/1/+1 (ability cantrip for same card))
5 Great Library (Site Pay 1 - 1/+1)
5 Knowledge is Power (Action Pay 1 - +1 cantrip)
5 City Stables (Site Pay 2 - 1/+x (x is controlled sites))
3 Quiet Chapel (Site Pay 2 - 2/+1)
2 Prestigious College (Site Pay 2 - 2/+0)
3 Plazzo Library (Site Pay 3 - 1/+0 - replaced site goes back to hand)
2 Scientific Espionage (Action Pay 4 - steal launching action)
5 Field Study (Action Pay 4/+1 gain 1 card per controlled site)
4 Papal Influence (Action Pay 5 gain 5 in a region)
2 Lassitude (Action Pay 5 - each agents power currently launching/on table becomes 0)
5 In Depth Analysis (Action Pay 6/+1 - draw 3 cards
Overview - 50 cards
9 cantrips
10 draw cards
This allows me to deck race, basically a good opening hand contains a couple of sites and a draw card (not hard to get)
Once you start launching card draw, I normally have enough income to always tie up 1 action slot on the board to just draw cards continuously, and the more you draw, the more draw cards in hand.
Good combos include using Plazzo on itself over and over again, or plazzo on city stables, since its a +3 income boost each time its played . City stables can be played for +3 when you have 2 sites on the board, if you play it into the 3rd empty slot.
Heathen followers are a good card to begin with, due to the time it takes to get them out onto the table, so if in hand thats normally my first card I start with (over KIP or a site).
Otherwise its pretty simple, you draw almost every card in your deck, so your very certain to get that lassitude, or Espionage card you need "just at the right time".
Here are some screenshots of what it looks like when you win:
