I am still missing a handful of Assassin rares and Just Cause (only Templar Card I am missing). I nearly have 5 of each common and uncommon card; I think I've gotten to the point of giving up buying packs though and just using the market to get what I need. If you're missing a few cards, market is the way to go. Shotgun approach works great when you're starting your collection.

The problem though is the rares I am missing are so expensive. I need like 5 Espionages, 5 Leonardos, etc. and it would take 6+ days of 500 each just to get one.
That said, the random number generator hates me. Third Assassin's pack I have purchased in a row has given me an Exit Stage Right.

Yeah, random is crap until you average it out a bit more... If you really only want those single rares, go for it and get them from the market, but in the longer run you want more than just those specific cards.

If you need specific cards, buy from Market. Hoping to get them from packs is gambling with very low chance of winning.
If it's too expensive in Market and you don't want to wait, buy credits.
Those are your options.

I suggest to keep going with buying packs.
There will come a point where you can "recycle" the cards you've drawn out of a pack in the market and have enough to rebuy a new pack with maybe even some money left over.
Today I purchased 30,000 credits = 33 packs + left over credits. Got a bunch of cards I needed and completed some collections, then started to resell all my extras and right now I'm at 5400 credits from the 100+ cards I've sold so far (according to the Market) and still have more being sold. 5400 = another 6 assassin packs that I get for free from the original 33.

I have a much smaller sample size as I'm only buying assassin packs using my daily winnings. I bought 4 packs recently and I've roughly broken even at market prices. I received one Caterina (which I had just bought 20 minutes earlier for 200), 2 family heirlooms (worth 500-600 each) and a femme fatale I sold. If you add the uncommons and commons, total value received is in the 3600 range. Fair trade I guess. Small sample size, but at least I wasn't screwed. The problem is, I didn't really want any of those rares.

I haven't checked the Assassin rare numbers. Anyone do so recently?

Well what you can always do is check the prices of the rares you have, and look for cards you need, and if they are similarly priced, sell them and buy the ones you want/need. Also 3600 is enough for an additional 4 Assassin Packs And as of right now I recycled a good additional 10 Assassin Packs already, although I wont lie, I'm getting a ton of rares I don't want myself, but I have duplicates I am willing to sell since I'm over the 5 max already for them. I haven't checked the Assassin rare numbers. Anyone do so recently? You mean prices? I constantly check the Market and lately people have been trying to drive down the prices of a lot of the Assassin Uncommons and a handful of the Assassin Faith Rares. I have duplicate Wraths and Divines I'm trying to sell but they keep trying to undercut eachother pretty badly. Also I saw Forced Charity for 3950... I nearly spat my water I was drinking when I saw it.

I just don't budge. I always put my assassin uncommons up for 100 regardless of the market and if they don't go, I don't care since they don't appear in my deck. I'm not making loads form them anyway. The commons I just put up for 10 - same reasoning. The only cards that count are rares. Makes the market less painful.

While I do agree that the Rares are the ones that count, I like to play the market at times and screw other people out of selling their cards when it comes to the Uncommons, with the goal of just recycling them for another booster. if I draw any Assassin Scholar Uncommon from a pack, I've pretty much made bank.
I drew Knowledge is Power and In depth Analysis in the same pack, both were going 400+ at the market at the time. I drew a crap rare (Pietro) so those two cards redeemed the pack for me.
However when I place offers and someone tries undercutting me, I won't budge either. I also laugh at people that try undercutting me by 1 or 2 credits. I keep all my prices divisible by 5 or 10 because psychologically, people are more attracted to simple numbers such as those when it comes to money.

I'm only playing the Templar market, because as soon as I have enough to buy an Assassin booster I immediately start bidding on one of my missing rares.

I bought so many Templar packs when I first started playing that I pretty much completed my Templar Set, with the only things I really need to do is complete the x5 portion in the Rare categories such as getting two more Cesares, Lucrezias, Damas, and some of the Gold Rares. But that's not really top Priority for me, nor do i want to touch another Renaissance Templar Pack and play them like I do with the Assassin Packs.
Honestly I was having trouble selling my Templar Cards because they were so cheap on the Market I've begun just giving them away for 0 credits.

I give away all my commons and some of the uncommons, but then sell the rest. I make a profit, but mostly it is to keep entertained. I'd do the same with Assassin pack, but that's when I start bidding.
