Royal decree's addition is a really good trick! The speed is still kept up somewhat, Leo's great when he's not getting countered gj

When you don't play Faith, you have no choice but wait for the counters to be burnt to play the fatties. Maybe a 3rd Cesare could be a good option to help against counters (instead of a Royal Decree or a Tactical maybe).

now much more players have playsets of orders and strikes so somehow leo is not as good now in such decks so i play more cesares because of that.

I like to add San gimignano into counter control related decks. Great against noob sites and offense before you can summon your fatties. Great for burning their counters if they have any.

think so too but you hould only draw one of them. so only include 2-3. having 5 of the mis counter productive since you will lose alot of influence many times.

I've tried San Giminiano and Merchant Guild as win conditions. Both are working but Chesare is strictly better IMHO. Control functions of San Giminiano and Chesare are nearly the same (except site control). But in mirror Chesare is uncomparably better. For site control I prefer 2-3 (+search with Family Heirloom/Quick Study) Venezia and 1 (+search with Quick Study) Royal Decree

well, that is why i exchanged cesares and leos just for playset of draw sites and few giminianos. gives even more ka and not that vulnerable vs discard and also it seems like everyone plays orders and stikes now so leo is not that usefull too.

Did you just say "ka"? I hope you meant that in a dark tower context And yeah the deck you're talking about is another deck altogether, I also have one like that. In fact many I find that Leo gets out much more likely than in depth analysis cos by the time you get to 10 income most of the counter wars has played out already. Plus espionage can't shoot him down.

Tuismlol yeah, that would be card in german, should be ca of course. in control mirrors yep, leo is still good but it's just like every other decks runs now counter creature spells.
