I've noticed that untimely end is being played in every two out of 3 games I play lately, which is making my life very difficult as I'm currently high on coming-into-effect abilities Personally only one or two of my decks pack untimely end, I don't find the prospect failing to important game changing actions or sites or agentless decks (I got quite a few) appealing. What do you guys think?

It's like your title already says. It's a trend! It makes sense, because, everybody is playing weenie-rush-militant-official decks at the moment. I've actually replaced in 2 decks already Court Order by Untimely end... and it works well. I'm sure it will blow over. When most of these people accumulated enough rare cards, or after a major update, they will start experimenting and will show other (more creative) decks, that will change the whole scene again. I've been playing for only 2 months, and I have already noticed two big trend shifts. I suggest you just go with the flow ... or be like me: be a trendsetter yourself WHOAHAHAHA

well since the game is free now there are a lot of beginner decks out there... i would pack untimely end into my deck too if i were them. i wouldnt call it a trend since noone here in the forums was doing it yet ^^. personally i think UT is a rather weak card... in early game it just counters a weak, cheap agent which means basically no advantage at all or in lategame it could counter a big boss for a huge advantage BUT it also could be completely useless when the enemy focuses on sites... so i always would prefer court order and the like. edit: okay uncloned was faster. i didnt read it^^ so okay uncloned did it. hes the trendsetter yes against rushes it might help but honestly i would rather include sudden exhaustion and tactical upheavel against agents because you desperatly want more income against rush most of the time... and just counter all borgia towers with court order

Like I said, two of my decks run it, not all of my order decks need early agent killing counters I think primarily it's great against pp Ezio's, but other than that it's really limited.

well... sudden exhaustion is enough there too. exept u mean ezio assassins which ;P furthermore its even a big advantage to let a ezio alive with 0 power because of its huge drawback. imo sudden exhaustion >> untimely end in most decks. ( rushes can pack untimely to avoid beeing blocked alot )

You are absolutely right, it is a very limited card. But from a newcomers point of view (who doesn't have many exotic cards), it's a very good card. Pack it in a deck of cheap small agents and just start putting your agents down. Any "bigger" agent the opponent plays: just counter it. And just hope you get 10 points in 2 regions before the opponent does. In that type of weenie rush decks, they work perfect (which is where I replaced my court orders )

Agreed on all counts, which is why I wanted to bring this thread up Sudden exhaustion isn't a hard card to get hold of so I hope ppl are reading this Sudden exhaustion is better in a defense deck, untimely in an offense rush deck, court orders are better against everything later in the game

something to do with the beginner deck having them? besides, that s ways to work around it, namely bite it out

More than 12 decks... And no Untimely End in them. I just don't like the card. But as Agents who have arrival effects are strong now, I can see why this is gaining in popularity.

Untimely really only makes a difference against really fast agent decks - ie PP + Ezio or something similar. Other than that Court Order is ALWAYS more useful - how difficult is it to wait for 2 more resource anytime but the first 2 days?
I rarely use untimely.

You're forgetting the poor plebs that don't have 5 court order or pre-emptive strike. If I am using a counter deck I am forced to put in untimely end, because I don't have enough of the other better cards

If I am using a counter deck I am forced to put in untimely end, because I don't have enough of the other better cards +1 on the poor part, and also most decks run some 2+cc agent, in which case its 1 for 1 if not better, so it's not all that bad

Auction house is coming Noone should have to be short for Court Orders. Although, I did only have 2 for a LONG LONG time.
